00:00Bristol City succumb to a 1-0 defeat away at Coventry City.
00:07So Dan, recapping the action from Bristol City, let's start with them over the weekend.
00:13I mean, another huge race, you know, fixture in the Championship race for those sort of top six,
00:19top eight positions, which will help them strongly finish towards the end of that season.
00:24They faced Coventry away and, you know, came away with a 1-0 defeat, albeit,
00:29you know, not an awful performance from them.
00:32I mean, it's just one of those games where if they come away 1-0 winners,
00:36then you sort of think it's a massive chance for them to push on.
00:41They obviously would have moved to 40 points
00:44and kept pressure on the likes of Watford, Middlesbrough, West Brom.
00:47What did you sort of make from this game?
00:50And, you know, how important could results like this prove to be if they are to keep
00:55just sort of narrowly losing to teams just below them or around them?
01:00What do they need to do to ensure that they are there and they are meeting these sort of,
01:05you know, expectations and standards to push on for the remainder of this campaign?
01:09It's just really disappointing for them, again.
01:11It's just been the story of their season.
01:13Inconsistency, not taking the chances they had.
01:16Chances didn't take them.
01:17Typical Bristol City this season for them.
01:20Coventry City, you know, not doing brilliantly well this campaign.
01:25And yes, both teams had chances, but one team took them and the other team didn't.
01:29And that's been, as I say, the story of Bristol City's season so far.
01:33And that's why they're not in the playoffs.
01:34And that's why they're sort of just hovering just below them a little bit.
01:36Yes, they've had some good results, but that hasn't happened often enough.
01:40And when they have had them, they've not backed that up with further good results.
01:44They've been up and down and up and down.
01:46And just for Liam Manning, I mean, I'm not sure what else he can do really, to be honest,
01:50because at the end of the day, it comes down to the individual players.
01:53Meanwhile, Bristol Rovers came away with an impressive victory over playoff challengers,
01:57Barnsley.
01:58And looking at Bristol Rovers, obviously, you know, a very good weekend for them.
02:03They moved away from the relegation zone, away from the drop,
02:08which we've mentioned before, they've got to make sure they avoid.
02:10They took on fifth place, Barnsley.
02:12I mean, Barnsley are high in League One this season,
02:15really competing for those playoff places.
02:18Was it sort of seen as a bit of a shock, this one?
02:20I mean, it's a good result for them.
02:22And hopefully, it gives them the confidence to really push on and
02:25ensure they are still a League One club come the start of next campaign.
02:30Yeah, it was a great result for the Gas.
02:32I think Inigo Calderon's finally got them playing the way he wants them to play.
02:36Certainly against Ipswich in the FA Cup the week before,
02:38they just didn't look like a good outfit.
02:40But I think that perhaps was just sort of the boost and the motivation they needed.
02:44And then they've gone and played against a well-drilled Barnsley side
02:48and taken them to the cleaners.
02:50Great for their league campaign in terms of getting away from the relegation zone.
02:52And for Barnsley, that's a really poor result.
02:54But for Bristol Rovers, fantastic.
02:56And they'll be full of confidence following that win.
