00:00We continue to preview the national championship game between Ohio State and Notre Dame with an
00:06eye on the prop market as well. DRS we were just discussing Notre Dame starting quarterback
00:11in Riley Leonard. What do the Irish need out of their QB tonight to even keep this game close
00:18against Ohio State's best scoring defense in all of college football this year? 178 and a half is
00:25the passing yards prop. Second highest rushing yards total. 36 in a hook is the number for
00:31Leonard against Ohio State tonight. 18 carries for 35 yards and a touchdown against Penn State.
00:3914 carries, 80 yards in that Sugar Bowl quarterfinal victory against Georgia. But in
00:45terms of the passing attack, Riley Leonard has thrown for at least 178 yards in seven of the
00:51previous 10 games for Notre Dame including 223 against the Nittany Lions. Donny, if Notre Dame
00:57is going to cover, they need to be stout on the ground. If Notre Dame is actually going to win
01:02a national championship, Riley Leonard needs to put together a performance for the ages tonight
01:08inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium. He does and the only thing that usually trips you up in college
01:12is you see those great numbers like hey man Riley Leonard's probably going to get 10 carries tonight.
01:16Well the fact is he can get 10 carries in 50 yards and sack four times for minus 22 yards
01:21and you don't end up hitting your prop bet. Those are the tough ones. You're right though.
01:24Everything does fall but when you look at other rushing props here for Notre Dame outside the
01:28quarterback and you see Jeremiah Love, you just saw that graphic pop up at 40 and a half, he's
01:32already up to 42 and a half because it's a correlation. Like is anybody that's backing
01:36Notre Dame go yeah you know what Jeremiah Love has a bad game, I'm not worried about it. No!
01:40He's your explosive guy and the problem here is he's not fully 100 percent even though he gave a
01:45yeoman's effort and that last game made some plays when he needed to, included that touchdown
01:49which he just would not be denied there. You take a look also down the list, Juderian Price at 25
01:54and a half. He's an electric running back as well. He's got to hit his numbers but I'll tell you the
01:58one guy that you look at and I don't know if it's whether it's in the passing game or the rushing
02:01game. Aeneas Williams is that key third down Austin Eckler type back where you could miss badly on him
02:08where he doesn't have a catch or a run but there are games like this one where if you expect him
02:13to be down he's going to be much more involved and also if you're looking at Jeremiah Love the
02:18chance of playing on turf and banging up that knee again and not getting those full carries you
02:22might be seeing more Williams stuff. So I know we're going farther down that ladder but you see
02:27him at seven and a half rushing yards. That's one handoff on a third and 13 play where they're just
02:31playing field position or if you're looking from the passing game one or two screen passes enough
02:35to get through that number so there are hidden talents there on that Notre Dame team but when
02:40I just look at the correlation it seems simple like Jeremiah Love rushing for 22 yards that's
02:45not a good sign for Notre Dame. Jedarian Price only getting three carries because they're down
02:49and only needs 26 yards 25 and a half yards that's not good here. So I just look at the correlations
02:54if they're going to win they better at least get around those numbers to give them a chance.
02:59If they're below them Notre Dame's not going to even cover this game Ben.
