If Thor can teleport using the Bifrost and was looking for Thanos, why didn’t he go straight to Titan, where he knew Thanos and Doctor Strange were?
You might be thinking, “Ah, but Thor didn’t know where Thanos was.” And that’s where the explanation comes in! Thor didn’t know Black Panther, so how did he know the Avengers were heading to Wakanda?
Here’s the key: at the beginning of the movie, Thanos had already obtained the Power Stone and invaded Thor’s ship to take the Space Stone. When he places the Space Stone in the Gauntlet, he tells the Black Order, “Two more stones are on Earth. Find them and bring them to me on Titan.” In other words, Thor was there and heard all of this! He knew Thanos was heading to Titan.
So, the most logical thing would be that after activating the Bifrost, Thor would go straight to Titan, since he knew exactly where Thanos would be. The only plausible explanation would be if, upon arriving on Titan, he didn’t find Thanos there. But, theoretically, Thor’s mission was to go directly to Titan since Thanos was heading there.
The only reasonable explanation is that, since the Guardians were on Titan and lost the battle, they probably sent some sort of message to Rocket, who then informed Thor that Thanos was heading to Earth. This would explain why Thor ended up going to Wakanda, as he knew Thanos’ final destination would be there, not Titan.
