Did you know that, in Avengers: Age of Ultron, there’s a reason why Ultron’s vibranium armor started to melt when he was hit simultaneously by Thor’s lightning, Tony Stark’s energy blasts, and Vision’s energy beam?
If you pay close attention, you’ll notice that it’s not actually the vibranium that’s melting, but the interior of Ultron’s armor. As that inner part begins to break down, the outer vibranium plates also start to fall apart.
Another possible explanation is that he was being hit by three extremely powerful sources: the power of a god, an Infinity Stone, and some kind of special weaponry from Iron Man. Maybe vibranium just can’t handle that combination. After all, as strong as it is, it’s still a metal — and every metal has a melting point.
