00:00I'm Eldira and this is my arm. It's on the table right now.
00:05TikToker Eldira Doucette holds a funeral for her amputated arm.
00:10The 22-year-old, who posts online as Bionic Barbie or Semi-Bionic Barbie,
00:14shares this video showing her in all black with a veil to pay tribute to her now separate limb,
00:19which is seen embalmed and laid out for viewing.
00:22Eldira and I feel many things at the same time.
00:44My name's Allie and I feel, yeah.
00:47Isabelle and I are having the time of my life.
00:52My name's Sasha and this is fascinating. Morbid but fascinating.
00:58My name's Dale and this is actually happening.
01:03My name's Christina and I'm happy that it brings some closure.
01:07Family members and friends also attend the event, which she detailed a day earlier.
01:11I asked the mortuary owner if there was any way that I would be able to see it before I was sent
01:16off because I just love morbid stuff like that. He was kind of taken aback for a second, but then
01:21he was like, you know, it's pretty unconventional and we've never done anything like this before,
01:26but if you want, we could have a viewing, like a memorial service for it. And I was like,
01:33absolutely. Are you kidding me?
01:35The TikToker had her arm removed due to her battle with synovial sarcoma,
01:39a rare form of soft tissue cancer, which had returned three times prior to her amputation.
01:44Just an hour before the surgery, she gave followers an update from her hospital bed.
01:49I asked my surgeon if I could keep my arm and she said I could. So I'm going to be taking my arm
01:55home with me. I'm putting it in my freezer. Probably not. I don't know how this goes. I'm
02:00planning on sending it to a farm that gives you back the bones because I think that would be really
02:07cool. Say goodbye to this thing. Goodbye.
02:13Following the funeral, she also shares a carousel of photos on Instagram. Captioned in part,
02:18what started as a joke, holding a service for my amputated arm, ended up being a beautifully
02:22cathartic experience. She adds, after looking at it on the table, seeing the scars it collected
02:27over the years, I realized it too was just a victim of this disease and it made the
02:32ultimate sacrifice on my behalf.
