The Prince of Wales played table football and shadow boxed with young people experiencing homelessness. William, who has been patron of youth homelessness charity Centrepoint for 20 years, joined youngsters at the charity’s centre in Ealing, west London, which provides 16 to 25-year-olds with a home, employment and education opportunities, as well as counselling. After playing table football, he put on a pair of black boxing gloves and shadow boxed in a line with people supported by the charity. Report by Faragt. 00:00I think I got a flash of people last time I played here, it was very subtle. It's a
00:14usual story, I get beaten by the young people now. I'm getting a lot slower, they're much
00:19faster.
00:20You ended up with some post-it notes on your forehead. You won't get any post-it notes.
00:26We'll see how the day goes.
00:28We'll see. You can't always stay up, can you?
00:31No, that's very true.
00:32We'll see.
00:55Yes, let's go and see who's about.

06:00Yeah.
06:03And where's the centre point link come from, you guys?
06:06That was through...
06:08Yeah.
06:09Yeah.
06:12It's crucial.
06:13I used to go and do multiple tasks at the same time.
06:16Talking is, you know, you do it one go, it's good.
06:20Sorry, we haven't got yours.
06:26Good.
06:27Sarah used to live here.
06:29Did you? How long ago?
06:31I left, my last day was the 31st of September.
06:35Sometimes when some people do, and they feel like they can afford the rent,
06:39they might get into, like, higher debt and arrears of their rent,
06:43and then, yeah, that affects them as well later on.
06:46So it's just people who are trying to do the right thing by work
06:49and their lack of being penalised for that.
06:52And does it keep the anxiety?
06:54It's definitely built a relationship with my key worker,
06:57where I feel like, where she'd mentioned,
06:59like, even when I move on to independent housing,
07:02that I could always come back with any concerns or worries
07:05about the next step in the future.
07:08I think what's really interesting, which I had to do...
07:13..get you through that.
07:15So it's important you guys all have that going forward,
07:18despite all the successes, things are getting better.
07:21You've still got someone you can rely on.
07:23And what's your story?
07:25Two seconds. Can I ask?
07:27I'm going to hear your story as well.
07:29Just I lived in here three years, and I was in YMCA,
07:33that's why they moved me, because of some small problems.
07:37Can I ask, how was it in YMCA?
07:41What is it like at the moment?
07:43Because you guys, you're all here in a good place,
07:46good journey at the moment?
07:48Tell me a bit about what's going on that's not so good out there.
07:54Thank you, guys. Nice to see you.
07:56Hello. How are you?
07:58Very nice to meet you.
08:00I'm fine, thank you. How are you?
08:02Good, thanks. Are you based here?
