00:00I am here so particularly honored and privileged to be back in the same place
00:25to take part in the welcoming ceremony to formally welcome the new pair of
00:31pandas, Jinqiu and Yilang. Several decades ago there was a time when the giant panda
00:38was listed as endangered species. The total number of giant pandas in China
00:43perhaps all over the world was less than several hundred. With efforts from the
00:48joint collaboration between China and friendly countries including Australia
00:53we have made things change. The situation has changed and changed much much
00:58for the better. According to my experts from China that now the number of the
01:03total number of giant pandas has grown from less than several hundred to over
01:102,000.
