00:00The Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni war just got a little more interesting, because you know
00:07that Blake Lively, in her lawsuit against Justin Baldoni alleging sexual harassment,
00:11said, among many other things, that Justin was creepy when they were shooting this movie,
00:18kind of coming up to her and saying, oh, your perfume smells so good, you smell so good,
00:24and making it sound like he was just off the reservation when he did that.
00:28Well, there was one scene in particular that she referenced, a scene where they're slow dancing,
00:34and in her lawsuit she says, well, we didn't have mics on, we didn't use any of the audio.
00:39They didn't use the audio in the movie, but they did have microphones on, because
00:43Justin's team has just released about 10 minutes of unedited footage, most of it from that scene
00:51where they are slow dancing, and you can hear all of their conversation. You can judge whether
00:57or not he's being creepy, but one thing that is very, very clear, they were not getting along,
01:03and you can see them, because they weren't using the audio, they could say whatever they wanted
01:08to each other, and they were arguing about all of their creative differences on almost everything
01:13about this movie. Watch.
01:43And Emily and I have, like, we have this moment where we've done it for, like, five minutes.
01:56It's like, I think you would find it terrifying. We just literally hear each other, and time stops,
02:04but, like, that's just how it's been for us from the beginning.
02:07No, we're like, oh my god, there's not enough time, I need to talk.
02:10I feel so nosy. I even think Justin knows this.
02:13And my nose is so big.
02:16I was hoping that we could address this. It's not too late.
02:20Just got to shut down, got to call an insurance month, and just deal with that.
02:26Cut.
02:26Just kidding.
02:27What was the sociopath part?
02:29So, they got personal there, because basically they're each telling each other how they are in
02:35real life with their spouses, and he says he and Emily just stare at each other. They don't have
02:40to speak, whereas Blake and Ryan are constantly talking.
02:45So, this was banter where they're dancing, and it doesn't seem to back up what she's saying.
02:53I don't see anything creepy in this, but I will say she seemed offended by it,
02:59because at one point he says she's describing how she and Blake are,
03:03and she and Ryan are, and he goes, oh, I think you guys are so cute.
03:07And she stops, she goes, I think it's a little bit more than cute.
03:11And he goes, oh, sorry, it's amazing.
03:16I mean, this was like a 10-minute video, and just the whole interaction with them is so
03:22cringe. You see Justin's trying to direct, but then kind of to Justin's lawsuit, it looks like
03:28Blake is taking control over the scenes, being like, oh, we should do this, we should do this.
03:32And remember, this is supposed to be a romantic scene of these two characters together,
03:39like, having a lovely slow dance. And in real life, when you hear the audio,
03:44it is far from romantic. Yeah, but even if it's not acrimonious,
03:49and I'm not sure where I land on that, it's just kind of funny that this is the banter
03:55they talk about when they're trying to- Remember, he's the director.
03:58Right. He's the director,
03:59but she is very clearly saying, no, it should be this way, it should be this way,
04:02which happens on films. Right, and it didn't feel come on at all,
04:08at all to me. I didn't see it in this.
04:10It almost felt the opposite. It almost felt like, okay, let's just talk about our families
04:16or something as we're pretending. And you look visually, and then you hear what they're saying,
04:21and it's actually kind of funny. Right.
04:23Yeah, most of it seems funny. There is that last part about the noses,
04:26which I have a particular sensitivity to- Oh, God, stop it.
04:29Where it seems a little hurtful. I mean, those of us-
04:33At the end, I don't know if we cut her. Oh, boy, go ahead.
04:35Oh, no, don't turn. Don't turn into the side.
04:40Those of us with prominent noses may be a little thin-skinned about this,
04:43and she probably got under his skin a little bit when she said, this is nose to nose.
04:46And he ended up making a comment about Jenny Slate, if you watch the clip a little bit further,
04:51which I thought was also a little bit of a drive-by, but he's uncomfortable.
04:54But she does say at the end, she's kidding. Now, he, in his lawsuit,
04:58did mention that, but maybe he didn't take it that way.
05:01It came off more of a truthful dig that you just throw in, like, oh, just kidding. She went beyond,
05:07like, oh, yeah, your nose is big. She talked about, like, oh, yeah, you should handle that,
05:12just have an insurance thing for a month, go away. It was kind of a long, just kidding joke.
05:17I'll remember this, Charlie, when you make barbs about me, that there's an undercurrent of truth.
05:21I'll remember it, too, when you make jokes about me being old, Derek.
05:24Okay, guys, okay. So, the perfume thing, I don't get, because they're dancing,
05:32they're supposed to be in this kind of romantic scene, but the two of them, it's like,
05:38they can't even get, in terms of the audio, they can't talk the way it's supposed to be.
05:44So, the way it was used in the film, they didn't use any audio in this. In the film,
05:47it was just a slow-mo footage of them dancing.
05:50Where you just see them.
05:51So, they knew they could say whatever there, but I don't, again, I didn't see him make any
05:56comment about her fragrance.
05:58Can I say, I would say, look, and we've reached out to Blake's team to get their take on this
06:03raw footage. We've not heard back from them yet, but I would imagine they would say,
06:07oh, yeah, he's handpicking, his team released this footage.
06:11Now, maybe she has other footage that supports what she's saying.
06:15Maybe, but to me, actually, I almost think it goes the opposite way, that to me,
06:20this actually shows moments where they actually do get along, and they're kind of clowning.
06:25But even when they're getting along, it's pretty clear they don't like each other.
06:30They don't like each other, and she's not the supplicant of Justin Baldoni.
06:35Right.
06:35You know, she's assertive.
06:38Very much.
06:40Hi, I'm Trish from Austin, Texas, and I have to agree that I just don't see
06:47where Justin is being cringy. I think the more that this case goes on and the more that comes
06:54out, Blake is looking worse and worse. I think she's been proven to be kind of skewing the truth
07:01in some instances. I have heard, you know, alternate allegations that she was the one who
07:08actually wanted to continue the kiss scenes and things of that nature.
07:12So, it kind of comes off like she wants to come for Justin before her stuff gets revealed as to
07:20what part she really played in making things uncomfortable. But Blake has a history of being
07:25difficult to work with, so I think we're seeing that here.
07:28Yeah, I mean, I feel like, I don't know which way the tide is turning,
07:32but it feels like it's moving more in Justin's direction.
07:34I also don't know which way it's going to end up.
07:36Oh, I do.
07:37It's been swinging back and forth.
07:38I know how it's going to end up. They're going to drop these lawsuits.
07:40Both are going to be dropped.
07:41Never going to court.
