00:00What does your husband think of this?
00:01I think that she would be my free pass if I asked for something like that.
00:06He'd say, go for it.
00:08Welcome to Ms Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the most
00:12memorable TV stars who couldn't be further away from their on-screen personas.
00:16That's my favorite show.
00:18Is it?
00:19Other than my own and yours, obviously.
00:22Now that you're sitting here, yeah.
00:24Number 10, Michael Sheen, Good Omens
00:27This famous Welsh actor has found fans across generations,
00:30but his recent role as Aziraphale in the Neil Gaiman series Good Omens
00:35has particularly appealed to young viewers.
00:37What do you sell that calms people down?
00:39Eccles cakes.
00:41Some Eccles cakes, please.
00:43How's your naked man friend?
00:46He's not, he's not my, well he's certainly not naked anymore.
00:50Aziraphale is unbearably angelic, even among his own kind.
00:55Sheen, on the other hand, is known for his witty banter, sarcasm, and playfulness.
01:00In an interview with The Guardian, he also revealed he had a bit of an anger management
01:04issue, something we can't ever imagine Aziraphale grappling with.
01:08I picked up Guildenstern and used him as a battering ram to attack this kid in Yorkshire.
01:17Weirdly, he's the actor in your film who was in your trailer, Adeel, who sees…
01:21No!
01:22I'd feel awful about it, and I had a flashback when I saw the trailer of your film.
01:26Besides, he's known to be a stickler for the rules.
01:29Mr. A. Z. Fell, however, wouldn't mind breaking the occasional one for the right reason.
01:35This happened to me for the first time the other day.
01:36It's the same as when, you know when you make jokes about your age,
01:39you're an old man now, and people go, no you're not, don't be ridiculous.
01:42The day when you go, I'm an old man, and people just go…
01:47Number nine, Pedro Pascal, The Last of Us.
01:50The only thing Pascal has in common with his character Joel Miller in The Last of Us
01:55is the fact that they're both baby girls, in one way or another.
01:59However, Miller is guarded and detached from his emotional side, appearing almost indifferent.
02:04You're not my daughter, and I sure as hell ain't your dad.
02:11When it'll come dawn, we're going our separate ways.
02:15On the contrary, Pascal is governed by the heart.
02:18With him, what you see is what you get.
02:21He isn't afraid to express himself authentically,
02:24whether that be when he is complimenting an interviewer's nails
02:27or rocking up to the red carpet in an androgynous fashion.
02:31Grace.
02:32Oh, mi hija, Luis.
02:36Why didn't you tell me she was a woman of God?
02:40Now, where are my grandchildren?
02:43He is emotionally intelligent, vulnerable when he needs to be,
02:46and as far away from toxic masculinity as can be.
02:50Of course, we stan.
02:52Now I'm going to watch The Last of Us with my wife,
02:54and at the end of every episode, I'm going to be like, that was so sad.
02:56Oh my God, exactly.
02:59Those mushrooms be in business.
03:00No kidding.
03:01Number eight, Angela Kinsey, The Office.
03:04Angela Martin, the accounting department head at Dunder Mifflin Scranton from The Office,
03:10is exactly the kind of co-worker we all despise.
03:13She is always complaining, playing the blame game, and judging others ruthlessly.
03:18It's not a surprise to me, Pam is the office mattress.
03:22Frankly, she's quite the mean girl, although Kinsey couldn't be more different.
03:26She is not only exceedingly kind, but also deeply considerate of others.
03:30I think I know everybody.
03:32I'm always like, hi, I know.
03:34Oh, you know.
03:35Angela.
03:36Well, I have the same problem because I play.
03:39As opposed to how her character treated Pam Beasley,
03:42Jenna Fischer's character in the show, they're the best of friends.
03:46In fact, when the latter got diagnosed with breast cancer and wanted to keep it private,
03:51it was Kinsey who supported her in her journey to recovery.
03:54She even wore hats to work in solidarity with Fischer when she started chemotherapy.
03:59When I started to lose my hair, I would wear my hats with my
04:04hair coming out.
04:05We called them wiggits, wig hats, wiggits.
04:08Oh, that's so cute.
04:09And she started wearing hats to work so that I wouldn't be the only person in a work meeting
04:15wearing a hat.
04:16You know what that is?
04:17That's love.
04:18Yeah.
04:18And it was, it was amazing.
04:20Number seven, Leighton Meester, Gossip Girl.
04:23It's a snub from one party beat.
04:25What's the big deal anyway?
04:26You don't even like Asher.
04:27I didn't like last season's Louis Vuitton patchwork bag either,
04:30but that doesn't mean I want to see it all over town on Ginny Humphrey's arm.
04:32Blaire Wardorf, aka the Queen Bee of Gossip Girl,
04:36might have been a manipulative, rich, spoiled brat.
04:39For the most part.
04:40But the actress playing her is the polar opposite.
04:43Neither did she grow up privileged, her parents were incarcerated when she was born,
04:48nor did she have notorious social climbing tendencies.
04:51Meester is an entirely self-made woman,
04:54whose own struggles inspired her to give back to the community.
04:57Hopefully, the kids who are growing up with somewhat more conscious, like,
05:02parents around them, there is that, like, validation of their feelings and not,
05:07you know, pushing it away.
05:08And all the good things that hopefully we're learning from
05:11the generation before that they didn't necessarily have.
05:14She is involved with several charities and organizations like Feeding America
05:18to combat child hunger and food insecurity.
05:21Needless to say, she is a true role model.
05:24I mean, this is a summer hunger campaign for the awareness of, like,
05:28all the kids in America that they don't have food during the summer.
05:31So I think, you know, you sort of take that for granted.
05:34And I think to just instill in your children or to teach your children
05:37and to also remember yourself that you, you know,
05:41you're super lucky and, like, also to reach out and to help.
05:44Number six, Hugh Laurie, House
05:47Give her a break. She's not dangerous. She's insightful.
05:53You can't stop our love!
05:55Dr. Gregory House may have traded his bedside manners for utter genius,
05:59and proudly so, but Laurie has not an iota of his arrogance.
06:04As a matter of fact, he has admitted in interviews to being rather insecure.
06:09I'm not worried about a randy lion. I'm more worried about the eating kind.
06:14And they say, that's all right because we will feed the lion.
06:18We won't feed him too much because then he'll go to sleep.
06:20And I said, again, that's not really because I know what it's like.
06:25You open a packet of crisps, you have one, but then you've had one more, don't you?
06:29Having no formal education in acting,
06:31he doubted his capabilities and never expected the level of success he achieved.
06:36Fans who have met the actor can vouch for his gentlemanly personality and sense of humor.
06:41Eight years!
06:42It is eight years.
06:43That's unbelievable.
06:44It is actually long enough for me to have become a nephrologist, a board-certified nephrologist.
06:52I mean, I could have become the real thing, and here I am still, eight years later, faking it.
06:57Not the dark kind House is known for.
07:00Laurie also vehemently opposes his heartthrob status, claiming he isn't the least bit sexy.
07:06We beg to differ, though.
07:08Kinda had access through the shirt. This'll work.
07:13Mads Mikkelsen – Hannibal
07:15This one is a bit self-explanatory, isn't it?
07:18Of course, Mikkelsen is a far cry from the literal cannibal he plays in Hannibal.
07:23If we talk about nuances, there are even more differences between them.
07:27For starters, did you know he was a ballerino?
07:30The man even performed at cabarets, and it all started because he wanted to get girls.
07:50His unserious, silly, goofy personality makes for some unforgettable viral moments,
07:55wherever he goes, and fans just can't get enough.
07:59The fact that he's not chronically online somehow makes him even more endearing and
08:03effortlessly funny.
08:05I think the first official beer I had in a pub, I was 13. But, very important thing,
08:12you could get away with that if you had your older brother with you,
08:15and the older brother promised to drag you back home.
08:21Stephanie Beatriz – Brooklyn Nine-Nine
08:24One of the most recognizable modern TV characters, Rosa Diaz from Brooklyn Nine-Nine,
08:29was brought to life by an actress so strikingly different from her
08:33that it makes her performance all the more impressive.
08:35It's my birthday. I hate birthdays. If you wish me a happy birthday, I will punch you.
08:41You're a funny little bird, Diaz. Happy birthday.
08:44Everything about Stephanie Beatriz, from her chirpy voice to her animated personality,
08:50is definitely not Detective Diaz approved.
08:53However, her bisexuality identity did inspire her character's coming out arc.
08:58I'm bisexual. Alright, I will now field one minute and zero seconds of questions pertaining
09:02to this. Go. Aim me.
09:04How long have you known?
09:05Since seventh grade. I was watching Saved by the Bell and I thought,
09:07Zack Morris is hot.
09:08In several interviews, Beatriz has surprised fans with her ability to switch to Rosa in a split
09:14second.
09:15The joyful one is when the proposal happened, because I was super psyched,
09:19because I'm a red-blooded American woman and I love a good TV proposal.
09:24Who doesn't?
09:24She calls it her second nature now. That's not just some incredible talent,
09:29but also pure dedication and love for her craft.
09:32Like, I've been on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, what, we're going into our fifth season,
09:36but my two-second stint on Bachelor in Paradise, people were like,
09:40Hey girl, I saw you on TV!
09:42You have made it!
09:44Number three, Jim Parsons. The Big Bang Theory.
09:48The King of Geeks, Sheldon Cooper, from The Big Bang Theory,
09:51is the epitome of the socially inept brainiac stereotype.
09:55Yes?
09:59Did you forget your key?
10:05That said, if you've seen a single interview of Jim Parsons out of character,
10:10you'll notice how amicable, witty, and even puckish he can be.
10:14He has stellar chemistry with his co-stars, both in and out of TBBT,
10:20and is extremely skilled at making others comfortable around him.
10:23What is home to each of you?
10:25Oh, anywhere where I'm surrounded by people who love me and accept me for who I am,
10:30you know, I don't have to be something I'm not in order to make everybody feel comfortable.
10:35What's home to you?
10:36While Sheldon is unintentionally funny,
10:38Jim knows exactly what he's doing when he has us rolling on the floor laughing.
10:43Either way, we love them both.
10:45And I found myself, like, on furniture, and like,
10:48I don't know if I was this floppy when I was a teenager, but this is what I'm going with.
10:52Yeah, kind of flop around.
10:53The only thing is, you know, I'm 51.
10:56And so when I, before we go out, I'm like, I have got to warm up,
11:00because I'm going to play a 14-year-old who suddenly goes, oh, my back!
11:04Number 2.
11:05Bryan Cranston, Breaking Bad
11:07Surprise, surprise!
11:09The Breaking Bad star and his character in the series, Walter White, are worlds apart.
11:14That said, the actor did base White on a close relative, his father.
11:19Now, say my name.
11:29Eisenberg.
11:32You're goddamn right.
11:34From his physical appearance to his mental disposition,
11:37Cranston shaped the famed anti-hero in the mold of the man
11:41who walked out on his family when he was a young boy.
11:44And in his shaky handwriting, he wrote,
11:48the happiest day of my life is when my children forgave me for the worst period of my life.
11:54Despite his rather traumatic childhood, with an absent father and a substance-using mother,
11:59the Cranston we know and love is welcoming with a heart of gold.
12:03Plus, he sure knows how to give us a good laugh.
12:08I belong in here, don't I?
12:15You have the option to be notified for occasional videos or all of them.
12:21If you're on your phone, make sure you go into your settings and switch on notifications.
12:27Number 1.
12:28Lena Headey, Game of Thrones
12:30You know an actor has done a fantastic job playing a villain when fans just can't stand them.
12:35This was the case for Game of Thrones actress Lena Headey,
12:38who plays the cruel queen, Cersei Lannister.
12:44Many mistakes in my life, but that wasn't one of them.
12:49Oh, but it was.
12:52When you play the Game of Thrones, you win or you die.
12:56There is no middle ground.
12:58So when we found out she was actually a total sweetheart in real life, everyone cheered.
13:03Lena describes herself as a clumsy nerd,
13:05but considers crashing out as Cersei a form of catharsis.
13:09Do people get that mad at you?
13:11Yes, all people say, I love her, and I kind of worry more for them.
13:15As opposed to Cersei's narcissism,
13:17Lena admittedly has a major case of imposter syndrome and is infinitely humble.
13:22In her own words, she's barely tough,
13:24but thoroughly enjoyed playing such a diametrically opposed role.
13:28I went full on Cher with the bandage that kind of just covers nips,
13:32goes around the bum, and we drove out to the club,
13:35and it was a lady's house, and it was a kids' party, and I was just naked.
13:40No!
13:41I was full on, I was like, what, oh, that was six, that was six.
13:45Who do you like more, these actors or their famous characters?
13:49Tell us in the comments.
13:51When I saw all of the story illustrations for The Mandalorian,
13:53I was like, this is going to be a hit.
13:54Yeah.
13:56No worries.
13:56But I guess in this one, you have to see my face.
