00:00Marcos' administration target is higher. It has a growth trajectory in 2025.

00:06Inflation and poverty incidence will continue to fall this year.

00:15The administration continued to increase its economic performance last year.

00:21In front of this is the statement of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

00:24that he is content with the economic achievements of the government in 2024.

00:29In the 24th NEDA board meeting in Malacanang,

00:32National Economic Development Authority Secretary Arsenio Balisaca stated

00:36that for 2025, the government's target is to increase the gross domestic product

00:41by 6% to 8% higher than the 6% to 6.5% target of GDP growth last year.

00:50On the other hand, the government will reach the 2% to 4% inflation rate

00:54while the poverty rate will try to reach 13.2% this year and 9% in 2028.

01:03Balisaca also said that NEDA will continue to implement social economic transformation

01:09by strengthening economic productivity,

01:12the use of new technologies, and collaboration with various stakeholders.

01:17They will also help the Congress on development priorities,

01:21supporting fiscal programs, and institutionalizing regular monitoring,

01:27evaluation, and integration in budgeting, planning, and investment programming.

01:32President Marcos also emphasized the need to have consolidated reporting gills

01:38in the efforts of the government to ensure food security.

01:42This is important, said President Marcos,

01:45to clarify to the people how this will benefit the Filipino family,

01:49why this is important to them, and how this will improve the quality of life.
