00:00Analysts suggest Agriculture and Food Security Minister Mohammad Sabu and Saeed Abu Hussein Hafiz Saeed Abdul Fasal,

00:09who chairs the National Action Council on Cost of Living's food cluster, set aside their egos to resolve the rice supply crisis.

00:18Saeed Hussein claimed that Mohammad, known as Mad Sabu, had failed to manage the issue and urged the Prime Minister to authorise NAKOL to handle it instead.

00:28However, yesterday Mohammad's ministry said that issues related to rice and padi should be left to the relevant authorities.

00:36Azmi Hassan, a fellow at the National Council of Professors, said Saeed Hussein's remarks were unnecessary and could scuttle any potential cooperation between the two.

00:47This would also result in the public getting the short end of the stick, he said.

00:51Azmi said the two should instead show that they are working together, and failure to do so could affect support for the unity government.

01:00Arif Aizuddin Azlan of University Technology Mara said Saeed Hussein should have voiced his discontent through internal channels to avoid raising negative perceptions.

01:11He said that Mohammad should not have responded but instead explained the matter behind closed doors to pacify the Bukit Gantang MP.
