00:00Yeah, we're in La Hinch here in County Clare on the Atlantic coast, the west coast of Ireland.
00:06We were hoping to show you the impact of the Atlantic here, but just a few moments ago
00:10all the power went out, which is why you can't really see anything behind me now, but the
00:15gusts here are incredible this morning.
00:17This is easily the worst storm since Ophelia back in November 2017.
00:23Record wind speeds have already been set this morning in Ireland.
00:26It's a gust of 183kmph, it's been recorded in North Pier, County Galway, Macehead weather
00:33station.
00:34That beats a record by 1kmph that has stood since 1945.
00:40It is the highest gust ever recorded in Ireland and we have many hours of this left.
00:46Where we are here in County Clare, the red warning will continue until at least 11am.
00:52Red warnings in different parts of Ireland right up to County Donegal will continue until
00:562 o'clock.
