00:00The one thing that will again and again strike you about the Vedas is honesty.

00:04They don't pretend.

00:05And they give two hoots to what you will think about them.

00:08Like a naked child, totally naked.

00:10You feel scandalized looking at what he's doing.

00:15But he is the least worried.

00:17The courage of the Vedas lies in the fact that they said,

00:20fine, if Prakriti is where we are to get our satisfaction from,

00:24let's go the whole distance.

00:26If Prakriti is what gives us what we want,

00:28then let's accept the forces of nature as gods and goddesses.

00:33No?

00:34No hypocrisy.

00:35If I live for the sake of my desires,

00:38then let me turn the objects of my desires into gods and goddesses.

00:43This is a very honest approach and a bold one.

00:46We all do want stuff,

00:48but we never have the rigor and the courage to simply accept

00:54that the object that we want is indeed our God, right?

00:57You might be dying after something,

00:59but will you ever openly accept that the stuff that you are dying after is your de facto God?

01:05So fire fulfills so many desires.

01:07So what do I do?

01:08I'll say fire is God.

01:10Fire is God.

01:11It's very innocently honest, is it not?
