00:17After the successful campaign of the Philippine Amateur Baseball Association, or PABA, in 2024,
00:23PABA Secretary-General Jose Antonio Pepe Munoz believes that the country has made great progress in the sport of baseball.
00:30He called the country a powerhouse of Asia in the 1950s when it comes to sports.
00:35The countries of Japan, Korea, and Chinese Taipei are currently in the top spot of the world rankings.
00:41For Pepe, the country will not be able to regain its high rank in baseball if the national team continues to perform well.
00:50So you can just imagine, if we can reach, achieve the level of play that they are at, then wow, top 10 in the world now.
01:02I don't know, maybe I won't reach that, but hopefully our players will continue improving.
01:08They will continue to learn the game and learn how much they need in the game.
01:14They will know, they will learn.
01:18Meanwhile, Pepe also emphasized that they will continue to strengthen the grassroots program in the country,
01:23like Little League Philippines, Dave Ruth League Philippines, and many more.
01:28There's also the Little League Philippines Series, which will be held in Pambuhan, Northern Samar.
01:34So Little League has been for the longest time one of our major contributors to our national team.
01:43And then, the Department of Education is ongoing.
01:46Like I mentioned earlier, we were in San Antonio, Quezon to witness the provincial tournament of Quezon.
