00:00Honey, we talked about Dalton Kincaid right there before the
00:03break. Some people were trying to make the comparison between
00:06Kincaid and the drop late in the fourth quarter this week as
00:11compared to Mark Andrews in the critical mistakes, the fumble and
00:14the drop on the two point conversion last week in Buffalo
00:18to me, they are not even comparable. Mark Andrews was
00:21wide open in a play design directly to him on a good ball
00:25right at the pylon. Dalton Kincaid was basically trying to
00:29play three flags up as somehow some way Josh Allen's cannon
00:33arm got the ball up there. But it was a free for all it was a
00:36scramble. It wasn't a design route to an open King click
00:40Kincaid in the flat who just dropped the football. Should he
00:43have made the play? Sure. Does he make the play seven out of
00:4610 times? Perhaps? Was it the worst disastrous drop we have
00:50ever seen? No. And that was not the reason Buffalo lost the
00:54football game. It was the defensive display from Casey in
00:58a great play design on a delayed cornerback blitz from
01:01Trent McDuffie from Steve Spagnuolo that put Josh Allen in
01:05that chaotic moment anyway.
01:08Yes, and I agree with you. And we look at that play in slow
01:11motion. And what's our first response here? Oh, we should
01:13have made that play. Trust me, if you've ever played the game
01:16of football, you are running one route, you see a football in
01:19the air, you have to adjust yourself, come back to the
01:22football when there's three defenders with their arms out
01:24heads out, you don't know where anybody is. And you have to dive
01:27to make that play in freezing cold temperatures. It's a tough
01:30catch. Should he have made it? Will he tell you that he should
01:32have made it? Absolutely. But those are some of the breaks
01:35that you have to get. But if you are being honest, like we always
01:37talk about, like, how about just in fairness, right? Kansas City
01:40won that play. Like you were asking for Buffalo to complete a
01:43miracle pass on fourth and five to extend that drive and maybe
01:47tie the football game up and they couldn't do it. That's what
01:49you're asking for. It wasn't as if and you're right. It's a
01:51great comparison to Mark Andrews, because technically it's
01:54no comparison at all. Like five yards away, hit you in the
01:57stomach, you drop the pass much different than a Hail Mary ball.
02:01I'm trying to dive and come back for to make a great catch
02:03here. No comparison to me, but you can see it too. Tight ends
02:07got to make a play in the biggest moment. Neither one of
02:09them does, but the difficulty of catch on Andrews was 1% and it
02:13was 80% on the opposite side with Kincaid. It's a shame
02:16because we love football games like that. The theater of them
02:19completing that pass is like, oh my goodness, where does this
02:22game end up and wind up? I'll tell you where it winds up.
02:25Buffalo kicks a field goal. Kansas City goes right down the
02:27field and kicks a field goal wins that game. That's probably
02:29the way it ends. Anyway, just would have loved to seen it
02:31play out though.
