Wolves are enduring a challenging period in the Premier League, with inconsistent performances and a lack of cutting edge in attack hindering their progress. Despite showing glimpses of promise, defensive lapses and missed opportunities have left them struggling to find momentum.
As they hover near the bottom half of the table, Wolves must find consistency quickly to avoid being drawn into a relegation battle.

00:00Well, Charles, it hasn't been the most positive of weekends for Wolverhampton Wanderers in
00:06the Premier League. They find themselves sat within the relegation zone now, following
00:11their loss at home to Arsenal and then Leicester City's away win at Tottenham Hotspur, so not
00:17a great weekend for Vito Pereira and his side. It begs the question as to where do Wolves
00:22go now, because of course, when Vito Pereira first came in about a month or so ago now,
00:27things seemed to be positive and there was a lot of optimism, I think, about the club
00:31in terms of where they could get to this season in terms of just getting away from the relegation
00:36zone. But now things have gone a little bit stale once again, players not performing again
00:41and it all seems a little bit, I use the word stale there, things a bit more pessimistic
00:47around Molyneux at the moment. So what can be done and where do they go from here and
00:51how do they revitalise themselves as the season enters the business end and obviously the
00:56most important part of the season, where every point matters even more than the last
00:59one?
01:00Yes, of course, obviously you mentioned he came in and had a great impact, a real manager
01:05bounce with the first few clean sheets and back-to-back wins and a draw away at Spurs,
01:12but you look at how bad Spurs are actually doing and a draw there wasn't obviously good
01:17enough in hindsight. But just reflecting, they lost to Ipswich at home, which was a
01:24massive loss. They obviously still have to go to Ipswich, they have to go to Southampton,
01:30they are hosting Leicester, they obviously beat Leicester away in Vito Pereira's first
01:35game but then battered away at Goodison Park against Everton. You have to sort of stop
01:43and look at their situations at the time. They were in dire need of a win, of some goals
01:48and a 4-0 against Wolves at Goodison Park really, really just puts the nail in the coffin.
01:55I mean, only four wins in 23 Premier League games, it's just nowhere near the standard
02:01that Wolves have seen in the last five years. They have been on an unbelievable journey
02:08under Fosun but the constant business model of buying wonder kids for cheap and then selling
02:17them on for huge amounts of profit and failing to replace them has gotten Wolves in this
02:22position. I mean, probably as far as Nuno Espirito Santo was, obviously they managed
02:27to take them back up to the Premier League. Just the lack of investment, a lack of much
02:33business in windows and defensive support has been absolutely shocking this season.
02:3752 goals conceded, only Southampton more with 53 at this moment. It can't really go on like
02:44this. Wolves need to find some magic to keep them up. As I say, those games where they
02:49have a lot of home games that are winnable on paper, they need to make sure they get
02:53over the line and if they don't, they will be staring at being a championship club next season.
