00:25And then we head towards the players, and I'm looking forward to it smiley great to see you as always my man
00:30Yeah, it's a good time for Mike and yeah great being on you know typically in the past
00:36It was always San Diego it felt like kind of the first big week of the year
00:40But last year or so I should say last week was during the NFC AFC championship
00:45Weekends everybody's minds kind of on it even though it finished on Saturday
00:49Harrison was getting it done, but to your point this week all the stars are out
00:53You got all the big guys plans in your shop boys the only guy not playing with a rib injury so
00:58Iconic venue and pebble really looking forward to the week
01:02Let me ask you about
01:03Tori first here and the farmers over the weekend because we did lose a lot of the heavy hitters Ludwig was there
01:10But he got sick on Friday and Saturday and didn't didn't play very well. You had a kind of leaderboard
01:18He didn't hold names at the top of it, but whenever you have
01:23A weather element that gets thrown into the mix you have a bunch of guys trying to get their first ever win on tour
01:30But then there's an old reliable guy
01:32Kind of just sitting in there like Harris English. What'd you think of how the farmers played out?
01:38Definitely the the golf course was very difficult. It was dry really windy for two days
01:42They had to stop play on Friday because the wind was blowing so hard
01:46But yeah, it was a bummer Ludwig was the guy I really liked heading into the week shoots nine under at the north course
01:51And if he just basically shoots even par the rest of the week, he wins the golf tournament gets sick
01:56It's a whole nother deal. But you know, Torrey Pines
01:58I'm looking forward to seeing it come back there in a couple of weeks to watch all the best players show up for the signature
02:03Event that's now being relocated from through the era due to the fires
02:07So, you know, it's a course that it can be a little boring at times
02:11But to me somebody who loves high shot value and being able to put the ball where you're looking
02:16Torrey Pines is it you just got to play boring simple golf and if you're able to go out and shoot 500 one day
02:22It's that's definitely a really good score
02:25What did you think about stopping for the wind because me and Pharrell had quite the discussion about it?
02:31While we were on what did you think of stuff?
02:35Well, well tell me this what side of the fence is Pharrell on here. Well, he absolutely hated it
02:42But he was much stronger on the I hated the fact that they stopped the golf tournament I did I didn't love it either smiling
02:49Well, here's the thing if the golf ball when you're standing over it and you're having golf balls move
02:55They're gonna have to halt play because it gets so, you know on those really windy days
03:01Which I've played on a day where it was 50 60 mile an hour gusts
03:04It was that crazy day back with Grant Seneca one on a eventual Monday finish
03:09It's it's it's tough to because the course was so dry
03:13If there was some moisture maybe to kind of keep the golf ball from not moving
03:17But when the greens are that dry and the winds humming that much the balls moving on the green
03:22I mean I get it a lot of people complain about the PGA Tour and the scores or you know
03:28That's sometimes like we started the year Hideki shoots 3,500. Well this week, you know Harris English shoots 800
03:35Everybody was just complaining about man, you know, there's not enough birdies like where can we win here Mike, right?
03:40Can't win can't win. I can't win at all
03:43How could you complain about not enough birdies in an event like that this past weekend?
03:47Everybody wants to see challenging things
03:50And for them to not do that, it makes no sense. Sometimes you're right smiling
03:53Nobody's ever happy with whatever the setup and the situation is going to be let's get to pebble now this week
04:01Signature event everyone loves pebble. It's outstanding and we have some guys we haven't seen yet this year period
04:08Of course Rory hasn't played an event yet
04:10He's gonna play in the computer screen tonight at the TGL and then head out over and head to pebble
04:16But Scott he's playing for the first time since cutting his hand back during Christmas time
04:23And look, I know he's the best but man
04:26He's a heavy favorite for a guy that hasn't played any competitive rounds yet smiley
04:30I wouldn't even come close to taking Scotty this week, right?
04:34It just seems like there's so much other guys that have had some reps this year
04:39They've had good good experience at this golf course and remember the old AT&T Pebble Beach used to be three golf courses
04:46You played Monterey spyglass and pebble
04:49It was a much bigger field the this this now
04:52Much smaller field being the signature event close to 70 80 guys and then just two golf courses
04:57So spyglass, which I think is the sneaky probably hardest in the rotation
05:03That it used to be now. I think spyglass on a tough day is very very challenging at times if it's firm
05:09But yeah pebbles, you know if there's wind that's a protection and if it's firm, it's definitely hard
05:16But typically this time of the year
05:18You know, you're you're taking one or two clubs more to try to take the spin off of the golf ball
05:23So you really have to have a guy that you know doesn't hit their wedges very hard and it's comfortable taking spin off of a golf

05:31Of course, they didn't even finish last year. Remember Wyndham Clark one and they didn't play on Sunday
05:37Who do you like this week out there? Who's your pick?
05:39well, it seems like Mike I'm like a week early on guys and
05:43It's unfortunate because I think Ludwig's gonna have a really good week
05:47and if you do remember last year, like you said Wyndham did have a
05:51Big Saturday to eventually be the champion, but Ludwig was playing some incredible golf. He finished second
05:57I really like him this week
05:58But another player who plays well at Pebble Beach is a Patrick Cantlay and he's kind of been sneaky to start the year
06:06I'd say that he has gotten better. It seems like every single round he plays and
06:11With good experience at this golf course and having enough reps under his belt to start
06:172025 can't lay I think it's gonna probably be my wanted out pick
