00:14Shirley worked as a POGO worker for 7 years.

00:17But since President Bongbong Marcos stopped his operation in the Philippines,

00:22she is one of the people who lost their livelihood.

00:25The government is doing well and has a job fair.

00:27That's all.

00:28I'm 37 years old and I'm having a hard time.

00:30Because in POGO before, there was no age limit.

00:35Johnny and Joa are former POGO workers.

00:39They have received a lot of resumes.

00:41But there is still no indication that they will be accepted.

00:45Even though we didn't graduate, we were just undergrads.

00:49We were accepted by POGO.

00:51Now, it's a bit hard to find a job.

00:53I told the people I sent my resume, I will just email if ever I can get a job.

01:00The program of the Department of Labor and Employment, or DOLE, is ongoing

01:05to find them a job.

01:07But they may not be able to pay their first salary.

01:10Most of the jobs offered in the job fair are entry-level or minimum wage.

01:17Their salary in the IGLs is higher than the minimum wage.

01:21Aside from the job fair, they will also receive free training for additional knowledge,

01:27upskilling, or retooling to be qualified for the available jobs.

01:33According to DOLE, the top 5 in-demand jobs for this year are jobs related to

01:39information technology, food manufacturing, hotel and restaurant industry,

01:45clerical worker or office staff, and workers from the renewable energy sector.

01:51Until tomorrow, January 29, the job fair in Pasay, where more than 5,000 jobs are offered,

01:58will also be open to fresh grads and other looking for opportunities.
