00:46Especially today is Chinese New Year, that means it's for the China celebrations.
00:51The next upcoming, we also have under the Minister Tiong Keng Seng, Datuk Sri Tiong,
00:56already mentioned that all festive, Tourism Malaysia will do and conduct receptions for
01:02others, Hari Raya, as well as Deepavali, we will do upcoming festive to welcome and show
01:07our hospitality to the foreigners.
01:11Many tourists praised Malaysia as a compelling travel destination, citing its lively multicultural
01:17scene and the many festive celebrations, while some said they enjoy coming back here.
01:24Malaysia as in it's a diverse country, multicultural and we wanted to explore more of the Southeast
01:31Asia, so we are going Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.
01:35So that's the reason our first stop is in Malaysia.
01:38We have seen the fireworks in KLCC and other places for the Chinese New Year and it's really
01:44exciting to see a country so much diverse and the Chinese community over here is very
01:52nice, helpful and they have been celebrating since two days I guess now.
01:57Every year we come to Malaysia, last January we were here and because my cousins live here,
02:04my mum was Malaysian, she was born in Malaysia, got married to my father Sri Lanka, so we
02:10come here every year and we love the people, we love the food, we love everything here.
02:16When we booked the ticket, we didn't know it was Chinese New Year, so it's just coincidence
02:20but everything's gone well, the new immigration process is great.
02:25Very good, very good, yes.
02:28We hopefully enjoy a nice stay here.
02:30As part of promoting the exciting Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign, this year's vibrant Chinese
02:36New Year celebration also featured Yi Sang tossing tradition, lion dance as well as the
02:42appearance of VM 2026 mascots Weera and Manja.
02:47Besides KLIA, similar Chinese New Year welcome receptions were also held at Penang International
02:53Airport, Kota Kinabalu International Airport and Kuching International Airport.
