00:00Last but not least, some amendments that will not only benefit the students but also the teachers.

00:10In order to improve the quality of education in the country,

00:14the House of Representatives approved in the third and final reading of the House of Representatives

00:17two important amendments for the well-being of the students.

00:22This includes House Bill 11214, also known as the Private Basic Education Vouchers Assistance Act.

00:30Under this, the Expanded Government Assistance to Students and Teachers in Private Education Act, or E-GASPE,

00:39which will not only provide grade 7 to grade 12 private school students with aid vouchers

00:46but also other basic education levels from kindergarten.

00:50There will also be provisions for the needs of private school teachers.

00:56Aside from this, House Bill 11213, also known as the Education Pathways Act, was also approved.

01:03The target here is to amend the K-12 system to provide better job opportunities to the students.

01:11A few more amendments were included in the third reading of the House of Representatives

01:15regarding bullying and misbehavior of some agencies.

01:19Aside from this, the other proposed measures were also approved in the second reading.

01:24This is also one of the House Bill 11357, which will amend the Universal Health Care Act.

01:31This is supported by the Department of Health, especially this one, in the priority bills of the administration.

01:38Due to the DOH, if this is passed into law, the premium contribution rate in PhilHealth will be lowered

01:46and its benefits will be improved.
