00:00Protein style with mustard instead of spread and I lost 12 pounds, right?
00:09So I'm, I'm, you know, I'm, I'm, I like eating a bunch of disgusting food, right?
00:13So I have to ease into stuff, right?
00:15So if you're an alcoholic or if you have like really bad issues, what's a tip you could
00:19give them?
00:20Because it's just, it's just like, no one's going to stop drinking.
00:22Like you have to, you have to say to yourself, I'm stopping.
00:25Like it's up to you to do it, but what's a tip you could give them?
00:28Just like something easy that could just help them in some way to just kind of do their
00:34version of me eating in and out protein style.
00:38You know, I'd say it's, it's not easy.
00:40It's a really tough step to just say like, I got to make a step in the, in, in the other
00:45direction because you know, I was spiraling and it wasn't an easy decision.
00:50But when I finally came to that point and I made that decision, you know, it's like
00:54I tried to control and enjoy my drinking for years and I could never control and enjoy
00:58it.
00:59It always just got out of hand.
01:00It was like all or nothing.
01:02And that's, that's kind of a reflection of who I am.
01:04And so sometimes it's like, it's that hard decision of going enough.
01:08You know what I mean?
01:10And I came to that point multiple times over and then I fell off.
01:13And so what I'd say is that when you come to that point, when enough is enough, just
01:19state that and then do it.
01:21And it's a hard thing.
01:23And then if you fall off, get back on, because I'll be straight with you.
01:27Like when I first tried to get sober, it was 2004, 2004 was the first year that I tried
01:33to put the bottle down.
01:34And it took me until 2012 to finally just say enough, you know?
01:41And so from 2004 to 2012, I sobered up for a year and then I fell off for a week.
01:47I'd sober up for six months and then I'd go on a two day bender.
01:50And I would sober up for two years and then I would go on a month bender.
01:55Then I, and it, it was, it was a long, hard road for me, but I kept, I kept getting back
02:01on.
02:02You know what I mean?
02:03And that's, I would say my best advice is, you know, shoot for the, shoot for the, you
02:08know, shoot for the stars and land on the moon.
02:11You know, and when the going gets rough, it's like, and you fall off, you got to get back
02:16on.
02:17Yeah.
02:18You got to forgive yourself and be like, you know what I messed up and I have to, I I'm
02:21doing the right thing.
02:22Let me, I made a mistake.
02:23Let me get back to doing the right thing.
02:25Absolutely, man.
02:26And I think that I apply that in a lot of different areas in my life because I'm not,
02:30I'm never going to be perfect.
