00:00Good morning to all of us. This is the latest weather update for Thursday, January 30, 2025.
00:08At present, the effect of the shear line continues here in the eastern part of Southern Luzon as well as in Cabizayaan.
00:16And if we can see here in our latest satellite images, there are clusters of clouds that we can see mostly here in the eastern sections of our country.
00:25There are parts of the Bicol region, as well as the provinces of Mimaropa, Quezon, and Eastern Visayas.
00:33The weather will be rainy due to the effect of the shear line or the cold and hot winds.
00:40And here in the eastern sections of Mindanao, in Caragas and Davao region,
00:45the weather will be rainy due to the effect of the east release or the hot winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.
00:54In the area of Luzon, the effect of the northeast monsoon or the cold and hot winds continues.
00:59And this will be followed by light or moderate rains mostly in the eastern sections of the Luzon area.
01:06So we can see here in our latest satellite animation,
01:09mostly the eastern part of our country will experience rainy weather today.
01:16Meanwhile, in the western sections of our province,
01:19we can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies.
01:22If there are heavy rains, there will be severe rains in the western sections of the Luzon area.
01:30And it is still possible for isolated thunderstorms that usually occur in the afternoon and at night in most parts of Visayas and Mindanao,
01:38as well as here in the area of Palawan.
01:42And for now, we have not monitored any low-pressure area or typhoons inside and outside of our Philippine area of responsibility.
01:49And in the coming days, particularly this coming weekend,
01:52the effect of this shear line and the northeast monsoon will slowly weaken.
01:57So it is possible that when Saturday comes, we will experience hot weather in a large part of our country.
02:06Let's go to the weather forecast for today here in the Luzon area.
02:10Due to the effect of the northeast monsoon and the shear line,
02:14here in the eastern sections of the Luzon area, we will experience rain.
02:18Due to the effect of the storm, we expect light to moderate rains today in parts of Cagayan Valley,
02:26Cordillera Administrative Region, as well as in Aurora.
02:30Due to the shear line, scattered rains and thunderstorms are possible in Quezon, Laguna, Bicol Region,
02:38and the provinces in the Mimaropa area.
02:41Over the western sections of the Luzon, in Ilocos Region, in the deep part of Central Luzon,
02:47here in Metro Manila, as well as in the deep part of Calabar Zone and Mimaropa,
02:53we will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies.
02:58And if there is rain, it will be light to moderate rain.
03:05Let's go to the temperature forecast for the surrounding cities here in the Luzon.
03:09Inside, it will play from 19 to 30 degrees Celsius.
03:13The weather will be cold in parts of Tuguegarao from 19 to 25 degrees Celsius.
03:20For Baguio City, it is 12 to 22 degrees Celsius maximum temperatures.
03:2430 degrees Celsius maximum temperatures today for Metro Manila.
03:28And in Legazpi, our maximum temperatures will be low, reaching only 26 degrees Celsius.
03:35Meanwhile, here in Tagaytay, the expected temperature today will be around 20 to 28 degrees Celsius.
03:43So, it will take time.
03:45In most eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao,
03:50we will experience scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the effect of shear lines.
03:56There are eastern Visayas and easterlies due to the effect of easterlies in Karaga and Davao Region.
04:05So, double attention to our countrymen, especially in eastern Visayas,
04:09it is still possible for moderate to heavy rains due to the effect of shear lines.
04:13And in the deep part of Visayas and Mindanao,
04:17just like here in Palawan, we expect parts of the region to be cloudy until the sky is cloudy
04:23and there are only isolated thunderstorms that we will experience more often in the afternoon or at night.
04:30Temperature forecast for neighboring cities here in Palawan,
04:33for Kalayaan Islands, 31 degrees Celsius maximum temperatures
04:37and 32 degrees Celsius maximum temperatures today for Puerto Princesa.
04:43In neighboring cities of Visayas, Iloilo, and Cebu,
04:47maximum temperatures will reach 31 degrees Celsius

05:01maximum temperatures will reach 33 degrees Celsius,
05:05in Cagayan de Oro, 23 to 31, and in Davao, 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
05:11In the condition of our ocean,
05:13we will have a warning in some neighboring cities of Luzon and Visayas.
05:18The area highlighted in red,
05:20that is what we expect to be cloudy until the very cloudy ocean,
05:24there in the neighboring cities of Ilocos Norte,
05:27in Batanes, in Cagayan with the Babuyan Islands,
05:30there in Isabela, Aurora, Northern Quezon, as well as the northern and eastern coasts of Polilio Islands,
05:37in the northern coasts of Camarines Sur, in Catanduanes,
05:41eastern coasts of Albay, Sorsogon,
05:43northern and eastern coasts of Northern Samar,
05:46as well as the eastern coasts of Eastern Samar.
05:49So the area highlighted in red,
05:51that is what we expect to be cloudy until the very cloudy ocean,
05:55that can reach 5.0 meters above sea level.
