Has the rising cost of going to the pub made it more of a luxury? How often do you go out, and have you moved to using budget pubs for better value for money?

00:00I think a lot more people now drink at home. It's cheaper, far too expensive to pubs.
00:06You feel sorry for them, like, because they're all closing left, right and centre.
00:11One of them things, isn't it?
00:13There's not that much difference between the south and the north anymore,
00:16so, you know, it does, yeah, it does make you sort of stay mostly sober, to be fair.
00:23No, more of a pleasure, probably.
00:27Yeah, it's better than sitting at home, isn't it?
00:30Well, it would be a very special occasion, but other than that, no, don't go out.
00:36Don't think either way, it's just wherever the mood takes you,
00:39which end of town or whatever, you know.
00:41I think we're in this sort of strange thing where occasionally you just forget
00:44about everything and just enjoy yourself,
00:46but we're much more conscious now, even just doing the shopping,
00:49that's a rising cost of living.
00:51It's been a recurrent theme, it's been a chorus in our lives for five years, six years now.
00:57Pubs are a lot emptier these days.
