00:00Filipinos are an important part of the workforce of the United States.

00:05According to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.,

00:08the new immigration policy of America will open the chief executive of the U.S. government

00:14to talk to Alvin Baltazar of Radyo Pilipinas for the country's news.

00:22President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. gave the importance of the Filipino workers

00:27to the workforce of the United States.

00:30In the middle of this, it was first reported that some Filipinos

00:33are implementing the tight immigration policy of America

00:37under its new leader, U.S. President Donald Trump.

00:42According to the executive, this is one of the things he wants to resolve

00:46and needs to be done.

00:48President Marcos said he will look at how possible the new policy of America

00:54can be influenced when it comes to immigration.

00:56This is also in the middle of his plan to make a profit from the new seat

01:00and the return of the President of the United States, Donald Trump.

01:04I think hundreds of Filipinos have returned home.

01:08So this is something that we have to work through and hopefully resolve

01:14because the Filipinos in the United States especially

01:16have really formed a very important part already of their workforce.

01:20The President said that he wants to invite President Trump

01:24not only to open talks on his new policy regarding immigration.

01:29According to the executive, he has a lot to discuss with his U.S. counterpart

01:34where they will meet and talk.

01:37How much is involved in trade or trade?

01:40The same goes for defense and security.

01:44I will meet with President Trump because I should

01:48because there's much that we need to discuss between the U.S. and the Philippines

01:53in terms of trade, in terms of defense and security.

02:01And according to the first reports that there are Filipinos who have returned from the U.S.

02:05due to the prevention of illegal immigrants,

02:08the Department of Labor and Employment announced that they will help those affected by the campaign.

02:14According to Labor Secretary Benvenido La Guesma,

02:18they will help the Department of Migrant Workers

02:21that has a program for OFWs returning home

02:25through their reintegration program.

02:29The Department of Labor and Employment will continue to help the DMW

02:33because that is what our President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has always bought,

02:38complementation, convergence of what other departments are doing.
