00:00Hello there, good evening. Well, some of us have been lucky enough to see some sunshine
00:04today but across the bulk of the country it's been quite a cloudy end to the weekend. Overnight
00:09we're not going to see much change where we've seen the sunshine today, that's where we're
00:12likely to see the clearest of skies, so across Northern Ireland, parts of Wales, parts of
00:16South West England, even to the North East of Scotland we could see some clearer spells.
00:20That's where it's going to turn rather chilly, may even see some patchy frost by the time
00:23we reach the morning. But across a large portion of the country remaining rather cloudy, it
00:28could be quite murky by the time we reach the morning, perhaps even seeing some hill
00:31fog and perhaps even still some drizzle around hilly areas. And we'll also begin to start
00:36to see a bit of a change from the North West, turning very windy here, a chance we could
00:41even start to see some gales across the very far North West of Scotland and some clouds
00:45starting to spill in, also some rain trying to push its way into Western parts of Scotland.
00:50So where we see the clearest of skies, particularly in the West, that's where temperatures are
00:53going to dip away overnight. But under those cloudier skies, across towns and cities, widely
00:58remaining just above freezing. Now for Saturday itself, once again there's going to be quite
01:04a lot of cloud around to start the day, but the good news is it should break up fairly
01:08nicely across some sports, allowing some sunshine to break through, particularly across Wales.
01:13Once again, parts of South West England, even Northern parts of England could see some spells
01:17of sunshine, perhaps even later across the very far South East, but mostly in these areas
01:22that cloud is here to stay. Still staying very windy across the North West, cloud once
01:27again starting to spill in here, perhaps seeing some thick enough to produce some drizzle
01:31at times too. And temperatures round about average for the beginning of February, perhaps
01:36something a little bit milder, just moving into the very far West. Now, later on into
01:42Saturday evening, this frontal system tries to push its way into the North West. It doesn't
01:48progress too far, but it will start to spill in to parts of Scotland, parts of North West
01:52England through the beginning of Sunday. Also seeing some outbreaks of rain across Northern
01:57Ireland and still very windy, rather blustery under these under these outbreaks of rain
02:01to the clearest of the skies down across the far South East. So once again, turning much
02:07chillier here, but across the North West, we are starting to see some milder air move
02:10through behind this frontal system. Now, through into Sunday once again, we do still have this
02:18feature across the North West, but it largely fizzles out during the afternoon, so it's
02:22going to leave behind a fair amount of cloud, but any rain largely petering out by the afternoon
02:26and turning much brighter as well across western parts of Northern Ireland, western
02:30parts of Scotland later into the afternoon and particularly across the South East. So
02:33East Anglia, Sussex and Kent starting to see some sunshine after a cloudy couple of days.
02:39Still very breezy, though once again to the North West. Temperatures once again round
02:44about average for the beginning of February. Highs of around nine, possibly even 10 Celsius
02:48across the South West. Now, what about as we end up going into the new working week?
02:55Well, we do still have some wet and windy across the far North West and fronts moving
02:59in here. Also, a good squeeze in the eyes of bars, so often wet and windy to the North
03:03West, but just to the South East. We do have high pressure starting to build, so it should
03:08be largely settled across central and southeastern parts, and that's probably where we'll see
03:12the best of the brightness. But for more updates on that, if you haven't already, subscribe
