00:00When we're creating such memorable experiences on the high street, it's really important for us to be here.
00:05Hello, I'm Will, I'm the store manager here at Lush Cribs Causeway.
00:09Come on in and find out what's going on in our February events.
00:14Since opening in 1995, Lush has become a massive business and within Bristol,
00:20there are many situated for locals to go and enjoy their special masterclasses.
00:27Yeah, so we are a general cosmetic store with a little bit of a twist and we have a big focus on ethics and sustainability.
00:35All of our products are handmade, which is great and we love to carry that handmade aspect through to our in-store events.
00:40So, any time of year you can book in a birthday party or a celebration,
00:45where you get to hand make our products just like they do down in our factory and pool.
00:49And throughout half-term summer holidays, so of holiday occasions, we also do like events.
00:56Ones we've got coming up, we've got our Galentine's event and we've also got our February half-term workshops coming up,
01:01which are normally a sell-out every year.
01:03Visitors are now catching on, I think, to the same sort of experiences and creating those really lovely shop floor facials or pampering experiences.
01:13100%, so I think on average we've got about 860 spaces for our February half-term workshops.
01:19Generally, over the half-term, we do see that increase.
01:22It's nice to have customers through the door.
01:24I think Lush will always be one of those brands where coming into store will beat digital sales any day,
01:30because we're all about getting hands-on with the product, having fun with the product,
01:33and you can really learn about more of the company ethos through sales assistance as well.
01:37The Mallet Cribs Causeway footfall really increases over half-terms,
01:41with a lot of school leavers and teenagers coming in.
01:44With that in mind, we're going to be hosting lots of half-term workshops,
01:48making kit bath bombs, pamper parties for Galentine's events,
01:53and my training manager Evie will tell you all about that.
01:56So I am here at Lush Cribs Causeway and we are going to be making a Galentine's Day bath bomb.
02:01Let's go!
02:03Yeah, so our Galentine's event, think of it as a place for you and your mates to come for a bit of a pamper.
02:09I know that there's a massive thing about sober events at the moment,
02:13so we've really honed in on that and it's all about self-care and loving you and your friends around you.
02:18You get to make and take home a fresh face mask.
02:21You also get to make and take home one of our Valentine's bath bombs,
02:24and you will learn how to do hand and arm massages on each other,
02:27facials on each other, and also scalp massages as well.
02:30So it's all about self-care.
02:31So we have recently introduced scalp massages and facials onto the shop floor.
02:37I think it's all about adapting yourself to what people want to see.
02:41Pre-Covid, people were coming shopping as something to do,
02:44and those years through Covid it was really challenging to bring people back out onto the high street.
02:48But a really big thing for us here at Lush Cribs Causeway is creating experiences within retail.
02:54So beautiful elevated shop floor experiences like free fresh facials on the shop floor.
