00:00The activities of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. this week were very active.

00:05Let's go back to the story of Kenneth Paciente.

00:12On Monday, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. signed the Binding Term Sheet between

00:18Synergy Grid and Development Philippines, Inc. and Maharlika Investment Corporation.

00:23The agreement is that the M.I.C. will get 20% of the S.G.P. by the government

00:31to have a share in the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines or NGCP.

00:35The M.I.C., which is responsible for governing the Sovereign Wealth Fund of the Philippines,

00:40will invest in the preferred shares of the S.G.P. which have 40.2% ownership of the NGCP.

00:47The two board seats in the M.I.C., S.G.P. and NGCP are also included in the agreement.

00:53According to the M.I.C., this investment is to protect the supply of electricity to the country

00:58and to have reliable and affordable electricity for each Filipino.

01:04On Tuesday, the President helped the Department of National Defense and other Cabinet members

01:09as well as the Department of Finance, Department of Budget and Management,

01:13Presidential Communications Office, Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs,

01:19Frederick Goh, and other government officials.

01:22The Executive Board of JobStreetCareerCon 2025 also attended

01:26and opened thousands of job opportunities for Filipinos on the day of the Chinese New Year.

01:32On the occasion, the President also stated that such initiatives

01:36are just part of the assistance of the government and private sector

01:40to lower the unemployment rate in the country.

01:44On Thursday, a series of activities were held by the President in the province of Cebu,

01:48including the 20th National Convention of Lawyers

01:52organized by the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.

01:55The Executive Board of JobStreetCareerCon pointed out the important role of legal professionals

01:59in strengthening the justice system in the country.

02:02The Executive Board of JobStreetCareerCon also gave their responsibility

02:05to be fair and adapt to the changing times.

02:08The Executive Board of JobStreetCareerCon also agreed to the meeting of all the governors in Visayas.

02:14The President emphasized the importance of the assistance of the local and national governments for the development.

02:20The Chief Executive also reiterated the government's commitment

02:24to support the major infrastructure projects in the province of Cebu

02:28to strengthen connectivity as well as economic activities in the area.

02:33The President also led the inauguration of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Parallel Runway in Lapu-Lapu City.

02:39According to the President, the 2.56-kilometer infrastructure project was designed

02:44to meet the increasing traffic demand and accommodate the large number of passengers as well as the cargo.

02:50The President also added that this project is part of a broader vision to improve the infrastructure in the country.

02:57He also led the meeting with the Regional Development Council of Central Visayas.

03:02This is where the main infrastructure initiatives related to transportation and urban connectivity are discussed.

03:09This Friday, the President received a farewell call

03:13from the outgoing United Nations Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in the Philippines,

03:18Gustavo Gonzales.

03:20The President acknowledged Gonzales' contributions to strengthen the relationship between the Philippines and the UN,

03:26especially in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, and its support to the Moro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

03:33The President also greeted more than 600 graduates of the Development Academy of the Philippines

03:39and asked them to be the pioneers in transparency and good service for the betterment of the people.

03:48He also asked them to join the government for faster services,

03:53open the red tape, and improve the bureaucratic processes.

03:57The Philippine Federal Party was once again helped by the Executive Board

04:01before the formal start of the campaign period for Hato Nang Bayan 2025.

04:06As the National Chairman of the party, the President once again reminded the members of the PFP

04:12to remain focused on the goal of bringing change to the country and the lives of Filipinos.
