00:00When it comes to the safety of our children, we have to have stronger laws in place
00:05because we've seen a big increase in online child sexual abuse
00:10and also AI is now putting that on steroids.
00:13And that's why these laws are world leading.
00:16They're really important.
00:18We have to crack down on this vile abuse and perpetrators
00:22and make sure children are kept safe.
00:24We're increasing the investment for the National Crime Agency
00:28to play the leading role in tackling particularly the online child abuse
00:32which is affecting children and teenagers right across the country.
00:36But we also need stronger laws for them to be able to enforce it.
00:40And we have to have stronger action from the tech companies
00:43to take responsibility for also doing far more to tackle this appalling abuse.
