Opposition leader Peter Dutton took another leaf from the Donald Trump playbook and vowed to axe cultural diversity jobs in the public sector if elected. More money would be spent on frontline services that make a difference, including doctors, national security and intelligence, Mr Dutton said. However, CPS Union national secretary Melissa Donnelly said staff with lived experience - such as people with a disability or Indigenous people - meant the government could better reflect the community and deliver essential services more effectively. 00:00One of the things that I want to do as Prime Minister of our country is to restore our
00:04national pride. Part of the reason I've spoken about us combining and uniting together under
00:10one flag is because we can't be united and we can't be our best if we're putting people into
00:17separate tribes. I want to bring our country together and if we do that there are not only
00:23social but economic benefits that flow. We can respect our indigenous courage, we should be
00:28incredibly proud of it but we shouldn't shun our modern day miracle story. Migration in this
00:37country and the great migrant story particularly in the post-second world war era has been remarked.
00:44Sport business has thrived in this country because of the efforts that people have come from Europe,
00:50from Asia, from across the globe which will support with achieved success in the best
00:57days for this wonderful country, for the best country on earth will be ahead of us. Thank you very much.
