00:18Just a week after the Commission on Elections started printing balotas,

00:23the Commission has already printed more than a million balotas.

00:27According to Comilec Chairman George Erwin Garcia, this means that Comilec will finish printing 13.12% of balotas

00:36and they need to finish more than 62 million balotas from more than 72 million balotas.

00:42But Comilec said that their target is still April 14.

00:48The manual verification of balotas is delayed,

00:52so it will take a long time if they need to be printed again.

00:57This is just the right time to distribute election paraphernalia before the day of the election on May 12.

01:07Comilec is also preparing for the release of a possible law that prohibits the distribution of sample balots on the day of the election.

02:08Garcia explained that they will discuss this with the Department of Education

02:13because they want to limit the problem of classrooms being damaged every election.
