Liverpool’s recent 2-0 victory over Bournemouth on February 1, 2025, showcased the team’s growing confidence under manager Arne Slot. Slot praised goalkeeper Alisson Becker’s world-class saves and acknowledged a bit of luck in securing the win. This result extended Liverpool’s lead in the Premier League title race by nine points over Arsenal.
Slot’s tactical approach has been instrumental in Liverpool’s success. Initially focusing on strengthening the defense, the team has evolved to display precise build-ups and effective space exploitation, reminiscent of Slot’s tenure at Feyenoord. His training methods, emphasising technical exercises, have led to fewer injuries and optimal player performance.

00:00Liverpool have mentioned the prospects of what it could turn into. It's been an amazing
00:08change around Andrani Slot, the quality, the stability as well. They seem like an incredibly
00:15tough side to beat. They're moving to the rounds of the FA Cup, they've got to turn
00:21over that deficit against Spurs, but obviously it's at home. Spurs are in absolutely dismal
00:26form at the moment, so many injuries throughout their side. And then obviously top of the
00:30Champions League, and we've mentioned it's a bit of a strange one with the Champions
00:34League because you could face some of the top sides, but they have already overcome
00:37Spanish champions, German champions in this campaign already. I mean, they just seem untouchable
00:42and where this season could go is quite incredible, up to the bit of dreaming to be done for Liverpool
00:49fans. Is the quadruple realistic? It's something you have to give them credit, you have to
00:56look at and maybe be realistic, but the real focus will clearly go into the Premier League
01:02and then possibly on top of that, the Champions League would be incredible to win that again
01:07for these fans.
01:08Yeah, I think if you ask fans now, if you can win one trophy, what would it be? It would
01:14probably be the Premier League. Liverpool fans have been starved of success in the league
01:18and when they did win it in 2020, they couldn't celebrate it properly because it was Jordan
01:25Covid, so I think if there was one that could be won, it would be the Premier League. Now,
01:30I know that the word quadruple is getting whisked a little bit, but I don't think that
01:35supporters are getting greedy. I think that they realise that Liverpool's squad isn't
01:40the absolute deepest, they might pick up injuries and to win four trophies, it's so difficult,
01:48you know, to win a quadruple, a treble is so difficult. Look how long it took Manchester
01:54City to win the Champions League alone. As you say, the Champions League could be an
01:59absolute lottery depending on who they get the guarantee to finish in the top two before
02:03they play PSV Garenhoven, but because they end up playing Man City or, I don't know,
02:09Bayern Munich, anyone, depending on what happens with the play-off rounds and etc. Carabao
02:15Cup, as you say, that game against Spurs, I still think it will be difficult. Maybe
02:20Andrzej Postakopi, if he's still in charge, might think, you know what, I'm going to surprise
02:24Liverpool, I'm going to go pragmatic to get to the final here, you know, I've got to win
02:28the Leeds, let's go out and surprise them a little bit. And the FA Cup rounds have been
02:33favourable so far, the first round against Ajax in a home, they go to Plymouth who are
02:38struggling in the Championship next. The Premier League and one of the domestic ones, I think
02:45Liverpool supporters would be happy with. The Champions League is so difficult to win,
02:50so many top teams, and as I say, I don't think anyone wants to get greedy because that's
02:55when things can take a downfall.
