00:00Roger Goodell spoke yesterday prior to opening night of Super Bowl week, and he talked about the

00:07Theory that the refs are benefiting the Kansas City Chiefs. Here is how Roger Goodell responded to that

00:15Well, this sort of reminds me a little bit of the script right that I write a script and I have the script for the

00:20Entire season listen, you know, I think from a lot of a lot of those theories are things that

00:27Happen in social media and they get a new life as you say, it's not your theory, but it's out there

00:34Nobody wants it to be their theory

00:35And so I understand that I think it reflects a lot of the fans passion

00:39And I think it's it also is a reminder for us how important officiating is

00:43And I think the men and women that officiate in the NFL are outstanding. They have the highest possible standards

00:50That's ridiculous theory for anyone who might take it seriously, but the end of the day, you know

00:55It's something we always have to continue to work on

00:57How do we make our officiating better at all times?

00:59and if you look at the the Chiefs record

01:02Which I think is an amazing thing people talk about the competitiveness our league the Chiefs with their

01:0815 wins 15 and 2 this year 11 of those 15 games were within one score and I think that talks about the

01:15competitiveness of our game and the importance of

01:18How we officiate it but also the the competitiveness of how we play it

01:22No Roger the fact that they're so successful in one score games is why people believe that the refs are in the bag for the

01:28Chiefs

01:31You use technology as much as you can and it all goes away

01:35yeah, like you put the chip in the football or however, you're gonna do it next season and

01:40Human element is eliminated as much as possible. Then people won't have anything to be suspicious about

01:46I even love the fact that the official being able to

01:50Call down and say no that wasn't a rough in the past or that was a flop or it wasn't

01:57You know when a quarterback slides like having the ability especially some of those plays

02:01That a bang bang where they say no and they could pick the flag up

02:04I mean, this is I will say this about the Chiefs
