00:00I was given a piece of advice pretty early on. I remember a friend of mine who
00:05is an artist said, I have to tell you I learned more by looking at what does
00:09work than what doesn't. And I remember I tried that and where that led was so
00:15beyond anything I would have been able to think through, follow what works,
00:20because that's where you find joy in it too. Well for those who haven't seen the
00:24movie you know what happens is Juliette Lewis is the lead and she swaps souls
00:28with a very well-crafted chair. The dialogue scenes with Juliette Lewis not
00:33moving or talking, quite easy to cut because you just have a person going
00:37like this. That's the future of filmmaking right there. That's the future of
00:41filmmaking is inanimate characters. Emotional intelligence is a really key
00:45part of edits because editing is all about communication. Yeah I'm still
00:51learning the right questions to ask. It's worked out so far. To be fair we finished
00:55the film last Friday so there wasn't that far to flashback. I feel like we're
01:03still making it.
