Overwhelming number of lawmakers impeach VP Sara  The House of Representatives has impeached Vice President Sara Duterte after the fourth impeachment complaint received enough signatures for it to be transmitted to the Senate.   House Secretary General Reginald Velasco said 215 congressmen signed the fourth impeachment complaint, more than the 102 needed for it to be transferred to the Senate. 00:50Mr. Speaker, may we inquire from the Secretary General how many members of the House verified and sworn before him the impeachment complaint?

01:02Secretary General, please respond to the verdict of the Majority Leader.

01:07Yes, Mr. Speaker, pursuant to Section 14, Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure in impeachment proceedings, the total number of House members who verified and sworn before me this impeachment complaint is 215 House members.

01:40Mr. Speaker, may we know what is one-third of the total number of the members of the House?

01:51Secretary General, please respond.

01:54Mr. Speaker, one-third of the total number of members of the House is 102.

02:06Mr. Speaker, Coordinator, in consonance with the Constitution on Article 11 on Accountability of Public Officers, particularly Mr. Secretary General, I report pursuant to Section 14, Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure in impeachment proceedings, which provides us with the following.

02:33Section 14, Endorsement of the Complaint Resolution to the Senate, a verified complaint resolution of impeachment, filed by at least one-third of all the members of the House, found to constitute the articles of impeachment.

02:54There is a motion to direct the Secretary General to immediately endorse to the Senate the impeachment complaint.

03:01Having been filed by more than one-third of the membership of the House, or a total of 215 members, is there any objection?

03:11The Chair hears none.
