Impeachment against Vice President Duterte unlikely to succeed  Former Chief Presidential Legal Counsel and TMT Columnist Salvador Panelo said that any possible impeach move against the vice president could be quashed as it was a "numbers game" in the Senate and the possible grounds of impeachment were not sufficient. His statement comes after Former Gabriela Rep. and Makabayan senatorial aspirant Liza Maza told reporters at "The Agenda" press briefing in San Juan City that they were in discussions on whether they would file an impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte due to "betrayal of public trust" over the notice of disallowance of the OVP regarding its confidential funds and her demeanor during the congressional budget hearings. 00:10I don't know about the Senate, maybe they can't get through.

00:13The main reason is because the numbers are higher than the Senate.

00:19What I mean is, when it comes to the trial,

00:22the senators, the members of the impeachment court,

00:26they might have a hard time.

00:28Because there's no grounds.

00:30What grounds do they have?

00:32The confidential funds?

00:34It's confusing.

00:35Because at first, although it was discussed in the Supreme Court

00:39whether it's illegal or legal to use confidential funds.

00:44They're forgetting that confidential funds were given by the President

00:49and the President is authorized under the Constitution to have confidential funds.
