00:14Naomi, the price of rice has been lowered to 55 pesos from the maximum suggested retail price

00:20to 5% broken imported rice from the previous 58 pesos MSRP.

00:25At the same time, the price of rice is also decreasing because its supply is sufficient.

00:30According to the Department of Agriculture, it is important to lower the MSRP to reduce food price inflation,

00:41particularly in basic commodities such as rice.

00:44The DA also said that its target is to lower the price of rice to 52 pesos per kilo by February 15

00:50and to lower it to less than 49 pesos starting March 1.

00:56The National Food Emergency has issued a declaration on rice.

00:59The Land Transportation Office provided assistance to the cargo trucks that deliver rice,

01:05especially to those who deliver rice in areas where there is a shortage of rice or the price of rice is high.
