00:00Overseas Workers' Welfare Administration, or OWWA, launched their new logo.
00:10It symbolizes the unparalleled service and dedication of the agency
00:16to the care and welfare of all overseas Filipino workers
00:20in different parts of the world.
00:22According to OWWA Administrator Arnel Ignacio,
00:25it is time for the agency to gain a new reputation.
00:29We are looking at the existing logo
00:34so that we can no longer relate to it.
00:36So it's just high time for OWWA to have a new face.
00:40The three stars can be seen in the new logo,
00:43which symbolizes the firm collaboration
00:46between the government, OFW, and private sectors.
00:51Hope is the meaning of the word,
00:53while its eight characters refer to the important duties of OWWA.
00:59The star symbolizes wisdom.
01:02Hope refers to trust,
01:05and the continued support of OWWA to OFWs.
01:09The red symbolizes sacrifice
01:12and the strength of those who have endured the hardships of this new era,
01:16our future OFW.
01:19It's a sight to see.
01:21It's enough to just look at it.
01:22You can already see the embrace,
01:25the care.
01:27That counts a lot.
01:29In this era of Bagong Pilipinas.
01:31The lovers, Merivig and Ravjea, also attended the unveiling ceremony,
01:36where they designed the logo, Kapwa Tubong Iloilo.
01:40It shows the unrelenting love and support of OFWs
01:43despite the hardships they face abroad.
01:45The new OWWA logo not only stands for the organization,
01:48but centers on the beating heart of the organization.
01:51And I believe that should be something that needs to be well represented.
01:56So in the process of research,
01:58we really dive deep into who OWWA is today.
02:02Is there anything that we can improve on,
02:04like the way they are being presented in terms of the logo?
02:08The launching of the new logo
02:10is a sign of the continued change of the organization
02:13in their efforts to make programs
02:17that are more appealing to OFWs.
02:21BN Manalo for Pambansang TV in the new Philippines.
