00:00From the Philippine News Agency, it is reported that the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board
00:07has issued a notice to public utility vehicles that do not know the discount for passengers,
00:12especially senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and students.
00:17LTFRB Chairman Chofi Lugwadis III explained that,
00:20under the Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010,
00:24discounts must be given to senior citizens,
00:28while under the Magna Carta for Disabled Persons,
00:31discounts must be given to PWDs.
00:35Drivers who violate the aforementioned laws may be fined
00:39for suspending their franchise or prohibiting them from traveling on the road.
00:44According to Lugwadis, passengers must call the LTFRB hotline 1342.
