00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. believes that the public should also be consulted
00:05regarding the plan to enter the offices of the government from 7 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon.
00:13Alvin Baltazar of Radyo Pilipinas, Sabalitang Pambansang.
00:20It is important for President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
00:23to get the pulse of the transacting public regarding the plan to enter the government offices from 7 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon.
00:32This is one of the ways to ease the traffic in Metro Manila by entering and returning earlier.
00:42In his briefing, MMDA Chairman Roman Artes stated that President Marcos said that not only other departments
00:50but also those in the LGU should be consulted regarding the plan.
00:54So, Artes said that they are the ones who said that there should be a thorough study and consultation
01:00where they will include the public who are doing transactions in various agencies and departments.
01:08In this way, according to MMDA Chief, it will be more certain that the data that is collected,
01:13it is being used and examined by various sectors of the society and all groups are concerned.
01:22It is also pursuant to what our President said that not only should we be the ones who are collecting the data
01:31but also the transacting public.
01:35So, we will do that in the coming months.
01:39Chairman Artes said that if the plan is fulfilled,
01:44there will be many commuters who will be able to leave during peak hours of traffic
01:48which is also a big advantage in the public transport system.
01:52They will implement this in MMDA itself, according to Artes,
01:56and their personnel approved it.
01:59The reason is that they can return home earlier
02:02since they are not in the pole of traffic, especially in the afternoon.
02:09Our employees prefer this because they can return home earlier
02:13since they are not in the pole of traffic, especially in the afternoon.
02:17Since they are already out before the build-up of traffic at 5 o'clock,
02:22they can already pass through the traffic and they can return home earlier.
02:28MMDA hopes that within a year, the 74 adjusted government hours will be implemented
02:34for the previous governments.
02:37If they have enough data to prove that there is an improvement in traffic,
02:42particularly in the major roads,
02:44the implementation of the 74 that the government employees entered,
02:47they will recommend to President Marcos that this should be done.
02:53For Balintang Pambansa, Alvin Baltazar of Radyo Pilipinas.
