00:25American flag.
00:28Let us remember that this tour was made by the recently sworn Secretary of State of
00:34the United States of the Trump administration, Marcos Rubio.
00:37He not only went here to the Dominican Republic, he himself was traveling through different
00:45countries in the region and concluded here in the Dominican Republic.
00:52of the countries that Marcos Rubio was visiting on this tour are Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa
01:00Rica, Panama, and well, he concluded here in the Dominican Republic.
01:07Remember that during today, Marcos Rubio had a very tight schedule in the Dominican
01:13Republic, starting at 9 in the morning, he had a meeting with employees at the
01:19United States Embassy in Santo Domingo, approximately at 10 and 30 in the morning,
01:25he himself met with the Dominican Chancellor Roberto Álvarez in the Chancellery, and later
01:32to that meeting he moved to the National Palace for a private meeting with President
01:37Luis Abinader, who after this meeting also offered a press conference to the local media
01:45and international media, and it was right there in this space where Marcos Rubio pointed out
01:52and spoke about a very important issue for the Dominican Republic that has to do with
01:56Haitian migration, and well, within the points that Rubio explained regarding this specific
02:03issue, he said that no country should deal with illegal immigrants from another nation,
02:13and well, also the clamor that he has had since the beginning of his presidential term,
02:26President Luis Abinader, worth the redundancy, about the fact that the solution to the Haitian issue
02:33is not found in the Dominican Republic, and also seeking international help
02:38so that the neighboring country Haiti can move forward.
02:45Once this press conference was concluded, Marcos Rubio went to the Iguero airport in Santo Domingo,
02:53where he officially seized one of the aircrafts of the Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
03:05From there he moved to this international airport in San Francisco, Peña Gómez,
03:11where it is expected that in a few moments this aircraft will be flying back to Washington, D.C.
