00:00President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr. signed an agreement with the Mahalika Investment Corporation
00:07and the Sharowin Phokphan Group of Thailand
00:11aiming to strengthen agriculture, digital innovation, and renewable energy.

00:23and expand the use of sustainable energy in the country.
00:26Under the agreement, a private equity fund of US$1 million will be set up

01:22where the Philippines is one of the participants.
01:25The Department of Migrant Workers, which is composed of 10 countries,
01:29talked about the so-called assistance that expresses their interest in Filipino skilled workers.
01:35Among these countries are the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
01:39Finland, the Bahamas, Oman, Jordan, Egypt, Indonesia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Libya.
01:46At the forefront of our discussion is their interest and demand for Filipino skilled workers.
01:54But efforts on upskilling of our Filipino workers were also discussed there.
02:02The need for caregivers was also discussed in other countries
02:06that is aligned with the efforts of the Department to have upskilling.
02:12According to the DMW, the mentioned countries want to strengthen the relationship
02:18between the sustainable workforce and the caregivers of UFWs.
02:24It is expected that they will also visit the country to study the Overseas Employment Program of the Philippines
02:30and its programs in the fight against illegal recruitment.

02:38that want to have their own Department of Migrant Workers
02:43or have their own Overseas Employment Program.
