France has sent its first batch of Mirage 2000-5 fighter jets to Ukraine as Kyiv continues to battle Russian troops. The jets arrived with Ukrainian pilots on board after several months of training in France. These French jets can be used for ground strikes, intercepting missiles and countering drones. They can also deploy weaponry including SCALP missiles, supplied to Ukraine by France, and the Storm Shadow missiles sent by the UK. This boost to Ukraine's air capabilities comes as fighting against Russia intensifies. Moscow's forces are battling a new Ukrainian offensive in Kursk.
