However, Trump refused to say how many times they had spoken. He expressed hope for a quick resolution to the war, which is nearing its third year, and claimed peace talks had made progress. While travelling on Air Force One, he instructed his national security adviser to start arranging meetings. Trump has recently said he would probably meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky next week.
