00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. won many awards and events this past week.

00:07The President's activities, let's go back to the national news of Claycelle Pardilia of PTV.

00:15In pushing for prosperity and promising to provide high-quality services to the Filipinos,

00:21President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. encouraged the payment of correct taxes

00:27at the start of the 2025 National Tax Campaign of the Bureau of Internal Revenue of TUMARTES.

00:34Under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos,

00:37the 2.86 trillion pesos collection of taxes in 2024 was recorded,

00:43the highest in 20 years.

00:46In every tax that we pay,

00:49we are not only contributing to the well-being of the country,

00:54but we are also building a prosperous Philippines.

00:58We will hold those who continue to circumvent our system accountable.

01:03President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. really became the new leader of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation.

01:10This Wednesday, President Marcos invited Dr. Edwin Mercado

01:14as the President and Chief Executive Officer of PhilHealth.

01:18He promised to focus on financial management,

01:21digitalization,

01:22and expanding the benefits of PhilHealth,

01:25in accordance with President Marcos' directive.

01:28President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. also visited the Metro Manila Development Authority.

01:34He discussed the steps to reduce the number of commuter diseases.

01:38The rehabilitation of EDSA will start next month in March,

01:43and will place underpasses and overpasses in C5.

01:47President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. thanked

01:50the outgoing Thai Ambassador to the Philippines, Thal Trisorat,

01:54for his contribution to strengthening the relationship between the Philippines and Thailand.

01:59In a farewell call in Malacanang,

02:02the President introduced the agreed-upon agreements under the Office of the Attorney General,

02:07including the 54 bilateral agreements in the sector of Agriculture,

02:12Tourism,

02:13Administration,

02:14and Defense.

02:15We want every budget allocation, policy decision, and program implementation

02:20to involve public participation,

02:23all in pursuit to the empowerment and to the upliftment of our people.

02:28President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. gave

02:31at the Open Government Partnership Asia and Pacific Regional Meeting this Thursday,

02:36the opening of the government.

02:39Through this, the government will open its doors to civil society groups,

02:45to the creation of policies, projects, and programs of the government.

02:50President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. was pleased to receive

02:54the 7-billion-peso plan of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation in the Philippines

03:01within the next five years.

03:03It is expected to create more jobs for the Filipinos.

03:08It will be part of the Revitalizing the Automotive Industry for Competitiveness Enhancement Program,

03:14which will strengthen the automotive sector in the country.

03:17On Thursday afternoon, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. was pleased

03:22that he was involved in an impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte.

03:27Duterte was impeached in a low-ranking Congress

03:31after the majority of lawmakers supported the fourth impeachment complaint

03:37against the second-highest official of the country.

03:41No, the executive cannot have a hand in the impeachment.

03:44There is no role of the executive in the impeachment.

03:47I do not give guidance to Congress.

03:49We are independent of each other.

03:51President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. was the first to celebrate

03:56the 100th and 23rd anniversaries of the Bureau of Customs this Friday.

04:01The government increased the collection performance of the BOC last year,

04:07which reached P931 billion.

04:10This is much higher than in 2023.

04:13President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. also agreed

04:17with United Arab Emirates Minister of Investment Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi.

04:22The two leaders also discussed the opening of more opportunities

04:27in the sector of infrastructure, clean energy, artificial intelligence, and education

04:33after the UAE recognized the potential of the Philippines

04:37as the center of business and prosperity in the region.
