00:11Enoch, EPCO and Emirat Petrol Stations in Dubai will start accepting credit and debit
00:16card payments starting today. The company said they will start accepting Visa and MasterCard
00:21credit and debit cards for all transactions, including fuel sales.
00:26Top US officials have met to review the threat of a terrorist attack that led to the weak
00:30enclosure of 21 US embassies and consulates in the Muslim world, and a global travel warning
00:35to Americans. President Barack Obama was briefed following the session. Martin Dempsey, the
00:41chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said officials had determined there was a significant
00:45threat stream. The threat was more specific than previous ones.
00:49Textile merchants not using the metric system of measurement will face legal action from
00:53next year. The Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology has started applying new regulations
00:59to convert units of measurement used in the textile trade all over the UAE to the metric
01:03system instead of yards.
01:05Cleric Hassan Rouhani has officially replaced Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as president of Iran.
