00:13in central Delhi. 65-year-old chef Prem Kumar is somewhat of a legend in the back streets
00:18of Karol Bagh, due to his ability to dip his hands into boiling hot oil while frying his
00:24fish. According to Chef Kumar, invincible hands run in his family.
00:28When my father used to fry the fish, I realised that I can do it too.
00:34Then I saw him doing it a couple of times and I realised that I can do it too.
00:40I can't say this, but when I did it earlier, it felt a little hot.
00:45After that, I kept doing it and I didn't feel anything.
00:52Kumar's roadside eatery serves about 1,000 customers each evening.
00:56And watching the chef plunge his hands into the scorching oil has become a part of the restaurant's attraction.
01:03People are surprised to see me do it.
01:06They keep telling me to do it, but I don't do it.
01:13Word of the chef's remarkable skill draws customers from across the country and even abroad to witness Kumar's hands in action.
01:21When I stand here, people come from all over the world.
01:26People from foreign countries, even from London, come and tell me to do it.
01:31Not one to hog the limelight, Chef Kumar is hopeful that he will be able to pass the family skill on to his son.
01:39I want to do it, but let's see what happens in the future. I am still learning.
