00:00In Gotland, Sweden, they are already successfully operating the world's longest continuous
00:07electric road system, stretching over 1.6 kilometers.
00:12It charges not only a public bus at the moment, but also a 40-ton truck.
00:18What's so significant about this trial is that it demonstrates the ability to simultaneously
00:23charge different-sized vehicles with different energy requirements.
00:27It is hoped that in Europe alone, there could be at least 14,000 kilometers of such roads
00:33by 2030.
00:36But what sort of disruption would installing such a network cause?
00:39Of course, we're not suggesting that we would come into any city and tear up all the roads
00:45in the city.
00:46We're looking at finding strategic locations where it makes sense to deploy because you
00:50have enough heavy traffic.
00:52So if you looked at a city grid, for example, you'd be looking at deploying somewhere between
00:5715 to 30 percent of the main roads.
01:01If deployed at scale, the team estimate the costs to be around $650,000 per kilometer.
01:09When we established the company, we had a mission to deploy one kilometer within one
01:14day.
01:15And actually, it was a joke nine years ago.
01:19Today, we can show that we did it twice, in Tel Aviv and in Sweden.
01:25Our goal is to pave a whole city in a few weeks.
01:28And we are talking about a huge infrastructure project.
01:33And to do it in a few weeks is a huge challenge, but I believe that we will reach that goal.
