00:09Here are the top stories at this hour.
00:12Iran and six major world powers reached a historic nuclear deal today, capping more
00:18than a decade of negotiations with an agreement that could potentially transform the Middle
00:23East.
00:24Under the deal, sanctions imposed by the US, EU and UN would be lifted in return for Iran
00:31agreeing long-term curbs on a nuclear program that the West has suspected was aimed at creating
00:37a nuclear bomb.
00:40Western diplomats said under the final deal, Iran had accepted a snapback mechanism under
00:46which some sanctions could be reinstated in 65 days if it violated the deal.
00:52A UN weapons embargo would remain in place for five years and a ban on buying missile
00:57technology would remain for eight years.
01:01The Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings cricket franchises of Indian Premier League
01:05were both suspended for two years as an Indian Supreme Court-appointed panel delivered its
01:11verdicts today.
01:13The Lodha Committee, which was appointed to investigate corruption in the hugely popular

01:33At least 27 people were killed and dozens injured this morning in a stampede during
01:38a Hindu religious festival on a river bank in southern India.
01:43The stampede occurred in Andhra Pradesh state as tens of thousands of people pushed forward
01:49to bathe in the Godavari River in Rajahmundry on the first day of the Pushkarulu festival,
01:55said a state official.
01:57The rapper 50 Cent, known for the album Get Rich or Die Trying, has filed for bankruptcy.
02:04The artist, whose real name is Curtis Jackson III, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection
02:10in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Hartford on Monday, days after a jury ordered him to pay $5 million
