00:00Good day. Welcome to the Gulf News Update for Wednesday, July the 15th. Here are the
00:08top stories at this hour. Thousands of Iranians took to the streets of Tehran to celebrate
00:14the landmark nuclear accord with world powers, a deal that received the crucial backing of
00:19Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the country's ultimate authority. Crowds flooded at least
00:24three major squares in the capital, many dancing well into the night. Celebrations clogged
00:28traffic and blocked several streets. Loyalists of Yemen's exiled president seized more ground
00:34in the second city of Aden after recapturing the airport held by Iran-backed rebels for
00:39four months. The offensive, dubbed Operation Golden Arrow, is the first major advance by
00:44the loyalists since al-Houthi rebels entered the port city in March, forcing President
00:49Abdullah Mansoor Hadi into exile in neighboring Saudi Arabia. An unmanned NASA spacecraft
00:56has whizzed by Pluto, beaming to scientists a message that it survived its historic encounter
01:01before sending back the closest look ever of the distant dwarf planet. After a 4.8 billion
01:08kilometer journey that took nearly 10 years, the nuclear-powered New Horizons, about the
01:12size of a baby grand piano, snapped pictures of Pluto as it hurtled by on autopilot. Cricket
01:19in the 2020 Champions League is set to be scrapped after failing to excite fans, organizers
01:24have announced. The three-week event had been billed as the richest club tournament in the
01:28sport, with a total prize pool of $6 million. That included a winner's purse of $2.5 million.
01:35Jointly owned by the cricket boards of India, Australia and South Africa, the tournament
01:39was launched in 2009 with much fanfare following the overwhelming success of the Indian Premier
01:44League. One Direction heartthrob Louis Tomlinson is set to become a father in the latest jolt
01:50for the boy band once known for its squeaky clean image. The 23-year-old, who would be
01:55the first dad in One Direction, is expecting a child with Los Angeles stylist Brianna Youngworth,
02:00according to British tabloid The Sun and US celebrity magazine People. And finally, today's
02:05weather highs across the UAE will be 47 degrees Celsius, dropping to 31 tonight. That's all
