00:00The leaders of the government coalition in Sabah and Sarawak rejected the claim that the majority support for Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim was doubted,

00:10and Malaysia may head to the general election surprise at the end of the year.

00:16Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah of the Sarawak Party Coalition and Mahsidi Manjung of the Sabah People's Coalition

00:22asserted that Anwar's position has become stronger since his appointment as Prime Minister in November 2022.

00:30Karim, who also became the President of the Bermi Putera Bersatu Party, the main party in the GPS,

00:37said that Anwar's administration will only end in 2027.

00:42He said that Bersatu can only be ready for a surprising election,

00:46but that does not guarantee that they can win the PRU-16 and form a government because they need to get the support of the people first.

00:56Mahsidi, who is a loyal member of the GRS, said that Anwar still has strong support in the people,

01:03with the number of support exceeding two thirds, which is 153 MPs.

01:10He also said that there is a hidden political agenda in Kuala Lumpur that he is not aware of,

01:16and he does not see how the Prime Minister will lose his majority in the near future.

01:22Last week, President Bersatu appointed Yasin to lead his party to prepare for the possibility of a surprising election at the end of the year.
